Customer Base Switch
What happened is HSN decided to aim for a younger, supposedly hipper customer base. Personally, my granddaughter says she wouldn’t touch their clothes. She can get the same style at Walmart for one quarter of the cost, assuming she wanted to wear something flimsy, poorly made in the same boring colors and ugly prints. Now DG2 is also going in the same direction. Did they forget their older customer base doesn’t wear 20 1/2” tops that cover absolutely nothing? Or is it that they just not care? I’d say the latter. I used to buy all my clothes at HSN. Now I buy next to nothing. If there were any available fabric stores anywhere, I would go back to making my own clothes. They’d fit better, be of better quality and probably be a lot more stylish.
