can u compare DG2 vs Iman anyone?

Thanks for all responses, gals!! I did purchase that TS. Really happy with no front pockets to bulk up & have to fix. Genius with side seams a bit forward facing as it does make one appear longer/leaner. Also I liked the fabric was thinner, for me more comfortable. I know nothing is perfect. (although I am still @ 74 searching for perfection) so, of course there were negatives for my semper fussy self. One, perhaps just this style, however, it was cut a bit lower than dg high cut, therefore didnt pull in tummy as well, but worst when bending down was close to the proverbial “plumbers crack”lol to be fair, have probably 60 pr dg & for me the high rise virtual stretch usually spot on in fit, unfortunately are tremendously far from size consistent, & then as so many mention the horriffic odor of especially black & other dark colors, that some even washed dozen times will still occasionally offer a whiff of that unforgettably toxic smelling odor. So as not to go overboard, shall watch for specials, certain high cut & purchase a few more Iman. Admittedly she knows her stuff. I get her explanation of purchasing larger size jeans & having them pretty much remade. I did that in my youth. Now, um, in the precious time of my last years, nah, aint gonna happen. too much to go see/do vs spending time sewing jeans. Never, tho, gals cease seeking perfection. I think it keeps us young!!!!!! Do not settle. Especially when it comes to men!!!!

I have both DG2 and Iman jeans. I must say I like Iman more because the fit for me size 10 is spot on and I wear an Iman outfit practically every day.

I have liked Iman’s pants and the fit for a long time. Never purchased her jeans. I dislike the smell associated with DG jeans. They always come with a horrific smell that takes about 5-10 washes to dissipate. I am not crazy about that mesh band in Iman’s various pants and I’ve cut it out. In the past her Ponte fabric was terrific. This year’s almost sold out Ponte pants had a tight waistband and less thick Ponte fabric. I kept them because the fit is good. I may end up cutting into the waistband or they might stretch out enough.

Would you say the sizes are comparable? If I wear size 8 in DG2 jeans, would I wear size 8 in Iman jeans?

Hi Sherryrose, I own lots of both and have liked Iman’s jeans for years. I actually like her jeans better than DG2 as they don’t get stretched out and are very comfortable. I can’t speak for her new ones though with the mesh band, but I did buy them with the matching blazer in 3 colors.
