zvok omni sound bar

I ourchased the zvok omni sound bar as the todays special at least a year ago today the remote does not work There is no trouble shooting to see what might be wrong have tried two new sets of batteries I contacted the compay and I told them my Samsung TV remote is at least 5 or 6 years and it still works he says it happens. I have to buy one for 15.00 I WILL NEVER ORDER ANYTHING LARGE FROM HSN I WILL BUY LOCAL SO I CAN GO INTO THE STORE
