Windows 10 Major Misinformation from Aaron Berger!

I keep hearing Aaron Berger announce with great drama that Windows 11 is only available on new computers! False!!!! Most people can download an upgrade from Microsoft to go from Windows 10 to Windows 11, and the upgrade is free. You do NOT have to buy a new laptop! Yes, Windows 10 will no longer be supported by Microsoft starting this coming October, but you can download Windows 11 from the Windows Update screen on your computer. Aaron kept insisting that you need to buy a new computer! This is terrible misinformation for someone who claims to be the HSN tech guru.

Yep. You caught one item of “misinformation” as u call it. I deem it a lie to sell. I have caught many over the years.
For me the most disgusting was Susan Graver boasting & bragging how she invented, and patented liquid knit fabric. Uh UH. Daniel Kiviat who many years ago sold Maggie Sweet was the person who invented it and although I really liked his clothes in that fabric, I refuse to buy from the lying graver.

I am the techie in my house. I had to purchase a new laptop for my husband because his laptop is … lol … older than the hills and is slow. Even if I “clean it up”, it is just too slow (due to age). I told him that come October 2025 Microsoft will no longer be doing updates for Windows 10. If his laptop was newer, I would load Windows 11 on it. However, it is in his best interest to go ahead and invest in a new laptop. Using the old Windows 10 without regular updates can put the user in harm’s way. The hackers are just waiting for such an opportunity to harvest people’s information. Don’t forget the importance of keeping your computer updated! I did some serious comparison shopping before I purchased a new laptop for my husband. I purchased an external (detachable) hard drive should he decide to store items without using the cloud. (The cloud is only as safe as the people in charge of security make it … don’t want to rely on others to keep our sensitive info safe). Additionally, we have an external dvd./cd drive that can be attached to the laptop should we wish to load music cds on the Windows Media Player rather than stream from the internet, etc.

While it is true that you can download Windows 11 from most computers, but not all. If you have an older computer, it may not have the storage space available. I have found most of the hosts exaggerate and mislead on both channels. It is a buyers beware world. In this case, though, there maybe a loophole. It is a shame he does not mention this in his presentations.

I finally realized they are all sales people, not our friends, and sadly we are being fed more & more lies lately.
I do purchase occasionally – but only after I have read reviews. Have saved lotsa bucks. lol

Very true. I’m typing this on my older HP laptop that upgraded to Windows 11 for free, directly from Microsoft, when I checked for a software update a few months ago.

What you say is true. Aaron is trying to increase sales.

At some point, it’s not just a sales tactic, but likely illegal by FCC standards regarding truth in advertising and sales promotion. This is just one of the worst misinformation scare tactics that is predatory.
