Ring Battery Doorbell & Outdoor Camera Bundle 919-450
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW LONG IT TAKES TO RECHARGE THIS DOORBEL? Since the battery is built in, I’m wondering how long I would be without protection.
Also, it says on the specs it’s gen 2, but the host and presenter keep saying it’s generation 3.

I said I (my home) would be without protection while the doorbell is in the house charging. That’s why I wondered how long it takes. The one I have now has a removeable battery, so I bought an extra battery to use while the other is charging. Therefore, always protected.

I hope you aren’t overestimating the protection factor. It’s just a doorbell and a camera. It’s not going to stop anyone.

Well, it actually has stopped people.. I know it has limitations. Two weeks ago, 3 teenagers were sneaking up to my door. probably to do that tiktok thing of kicking your door. They saw the doorbell and said “They have a Ring” and they ran, Moments later I heard my neighbor come out to catch them because they banged really hard on her door.
So, it may not be perfect, but it is a deterrent. -

My Ring charged up in less than two hours. I don’t know what you mean by how long it will last without protection — if the battery’s dead, it’s dead until you charge it, unless you use the hardwire installation.
