Why are there no return labels?
I actually think I know the answer to my question. So this is the way to deter returns, but for me it will limit and perhaps completely stop purchases. I can print a label, but there are many folks out there who can’t, like my mother.

I am not going to say that I will never make another purchase from HSN, but I will be putting a lot of thought into a purchase before buying anything from them again (and I am a long-time customer OR WAS). I purchased the dermawand from HSN about two weeks ago and it is in new condition along with the bottles of whatever that came with it. I just can’t bring myself to use it as it looks like torture to me (lol). In other words, I changed my mind! I went online to find an EASY RETURN label via United Parcel Service, but the only label found was where I pay and return it on my own. I prefer the EASY RETURN label because I feel it has a good chance of getting to its destination in a timely manner and the shipping fee deduction from my total refund will be less (much less) than what I have to pay on my own. I called HSN and spoke with a rep named Kimberly who told me that since the item was shipped directly from the manufacturer that they don’t provide EASY RETURNS. She stated that I have to return it on my own. I remember having a similar situation a couple of years back and the HSN rep that I spoke with at that time sent me an EASY RETURN label (for United Parcel Service) with no problem whatsoever. I really appreciated it when HSN was about customer service. I guess HSN is not very much interested in customer service in my recent situation. Oh, well …

It’s ridiculous. I know this is an old comment, but am curious if return labels used to be available on the site. Do I actually have to call them? These are not EASY return and it’s a pain. Returning these things and am done.

I was told just tonight from a customer service representative that they are no longer issuing return labels. That if defective, you will have to wait for a label from the Vendor of the merchandise! So I asked mine is broken, So I get a mailed out label? She said yes. But if it wasn’t I would had to pay for the return? She said yes, that exactly right. And then she said they are no longer doing exchanges.
So for ME….Goodbye HSN!-
I’m sorry you were told that, @sews13, but that doesn’t seem very accurate. The majority of our items come with an EZ return label. There are some that don’t and those items we have to get the label from our partner. Customers have always had to pay to return orders that were not defective or damaged even if you use the EZ return label. I have not heard that we are no longer issuing exchanges but that doesn’t seem very likely. Hope this info helps.

I tried to return two pairs of shoes, which were shipped to me in the same box. I did not receive the EZ return label with my package. I tried to print my own return label, which does not work. I receive an error and a broken piece of paper icon. I try to open the image in another tab and nothing. I used online chat to resolve the situation. I could receive a label via email in 48 hours! Why 48 hours to generate an email. I also could not continue the conversation with the online chat person because my responses when hitting send, were wiped out. I typed a new response and that was wiped out when I hit enter. Both options provided by HSN did not work. I went to the post office and the cost to ship back the same box was $30.00!
Today is the deadline for returning an order and I am on hold hoping that a solution can be figured out. Clearly, I should have returned the purchase earlier. However, I technically according to the HSN return policy have until today to ship them back. I had the same return label issue in May. HSN needs to update their technology so that their website and online systems work properly. The customer service agent is unable to email the labels to me and I am unable to print them off. The agent just told me that would have had to send out the label on January 25th in order for the return to be processed.
Terrible return processing! Getting my money back and HSN getting their product back shouldn’t be this difficult. I will definitely think twice before purchasing from HSN in the future.

I recently purchased three pairs of boots. They were not as comfortable or fit as well as I liked, so I went to return them. Like others are saying, there was no EZ return label. I have a printer and printed out the label was on my order, but when I went to UPS to mail, they said one pair would cost $50!! The boots were only $85. I was very saddened. I am going to see what they will cost at USPS, but am still discouraged. One pair cost $140 and I will pay the return fee still because getting $90 refund is better than nothing. This has taught me NOT to shop with HSN anymore, and I have been a customer for over 20 years.

Companies are discovering that customers look at how “green” they are and wasting paper aka cutting down trees in order to send a return label that may or may NOT be used is pure waste of resources. Instead, IF you need to return something, then that responsibility is placed on you.
That’s how it is now and more and more companies are following this path. I’ve yet to shop at a NEW company that doesn’t have this policy; it’s the older ones that are slowly but surely catching up and that’s a very good thing.

That is a joke. They send out more plastic bags than ever! HSN doesn’t care about the customer. Sending an invoice with no return label is just unacceptable.

I personally feel they stopped giving return label to basically force us to keeo items and therefore pay for them. I also feel its a scam when I purchase 2 of the same item, for instance 2 different sizes and they ship together, but we still 2 shipping costs.

I agree with most posters, not providing return labels as they did in the past will deter me from purchasing in the future. I do not have a printer to print the labels & if I go to UPS to have them print it, they charge you a $1.00 to go on their computer to use their internet to print the label on top of the charge to print it. So, bad move on HSN/QVC’s part on making it harder to return items. “What ain’t broke don’t fix it” by changing the return label process you’re losing business. Read my complaint to “the powers that be” who makes these dumb decisions.

Not all items come with EZ Return labels, @cspmu. If anyone needs a label to return damaged or defective items, just reach out to us and we’ll mail one to you!

Why for damaged or defective items? That’s not how returns work. Especially “easy returns”. I ordered stuff that doesn’t work for me and I need to return it. I wouldn’t order from a place that doesn’t accept returns. Do I seriously need to actually call? Are return labels not available online?
-
No. You have to either call or do an online chat. I just went through this with a damaged makeup product and it was a nightmare just starting the process. I just had to talk with my elderly mom about no longer purchasing things from HSN because of the hoop jumping for returns. Honestly, it’s not worth it.

They always did in the last 20 years I shopped at HSN. It’s another way that HSN chooses costs savings for them vs the customer. The CS has greatly gone done and if you have an issue, good luck trying to resolve it!
I recently received 2 pairs of the Clark’s TS and like everyone said, they ran small. Sent them back for an exchange and was credited instead minus the shipping fees. When I called them I was told that I was suppose to call them for an exchange. The return label has an exchange option, which I used, but was told that since I didn’t call them I was basically out of luck. No apology of course. She said that since both my choices were out of stock, they have to do a return and charge me shipping which is $16. They know the item was a problem as the reviews all state the same thing. She told me I should have sized up!
Never will shop with HSN again since they can’t be trusted. Amazon makes returns so simple that I never hesitate to order anything from them.
