So disappointed with my experience with HSN today
I have been waiting and contemplating a purchase from HSN and I do a great deal of my shopping online and much of that is through Amazon. Mostly all of my Christmas is shopped via online/mail. I attempted to complete my transaction online but due to my recent move my billing address and shipping address are not the same (my previous home recently sold). For this reason I could not complete my order online and had to call in. The call began great but when I gave the address of the home I recently rented I was told that HSN could not deliver to that address. No explanation, nothing! Okay, I asked if it could be delivered to maybe my son’s home. That was okay to do. So I gave my sons address, my billing address, went over my order which was the Xbox series x Console bundle Item #1265569 @ $999.99 with the option of 5 flex pay. My card was charged and I was told my next payment would be in 30 days and would all run 30 days apart. Then told that the Purchase price was $1074.99 minus the $275. I paid today. I stopped her there… at my checkout online I had my total due today and it was $200.00 no shipping straight $200. I pointed that out but was told no, its not correct. The taxes are charged and due with the first payment. I said okay, that’s fine (It was already charged anyway). Then she drops on me we aren’t able to offer Flex pay on this item. Umm, its online this very minute offered as flex pay. ” Well we can’t accept your card for flex pay”
SERIOUSLY!?!? My card was already charged, charged more than what was online and now I can’t use my VISA debit card?!? Eventhough it says online everywhere that HSN does take a debit card if it has a VISA logo.
I said well I guess you need to cancel the order because I don’t have the money to buy it outright or I would have done that in the first place. So then I’m told it will take them 3-5 days to refund my money. I asked her why online when you go to check out for this item and others you are given the option to use PayPal and your credit cards but doesn’t restrict debit cards.
The kicker is when I checked my bank account she wasn’t even honest about what she charged my bank account. She charged it $295.66.
As consumers who shop online/virtually we expect the retailers that we choose to do business with to be trustworthy and honest with our money. Especially in this time.
This entire situation just made me feel like I was being given giant RED FLAGS. I passed other options to purchase this item because of the 5 flex plan making it a bit easier. I am not a person that generally writes a review or complaint but I’m just so completely upset with how this entire situation happened.

I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and have sent an electronic request to your financial institution to request the authorization be released. The time frame as to when the funds will be released is dependent upon your financial institution’s release of funds process.
