HSN MOVE TO WEST CHESTER, PA.
I have written to HSN and QVC on this subject for months. I get no response. I and my family have been shopping on HSN for years. We have purchased many things, and like most people, we have become somewhat attached to the hosts and guest hosts. As a retired business consultant, I fully understand the economies of consolidation. QVC has decided that it is in their economic interest, long term, to consolidate operations in one location. Good luck with that and May you achieve success.
Having said that, you are being more than a little short sighted with the future of your guest hosts and some of the models and support staff that served their appearances. Through out the COVID shutdown, you allowed remote broadcasts. Guest hosts did this effectively using inadequate lighting and facilities. The job was still effective. I have contacted some of the outstanding product presenters that we know, love, trust, and purchase from. They tell me they were offered no choice. Either move to PA or “see you later.”
I found this very dismissing of not only your fantastic guest hosts, but of your HSN viewers as well. I must conclude by your lack of response to my previous communication attempts, and the choices these fine people have been given, that the “see you later” goes for customers as well. The quest hosts I contacted are both males and have been with HSN for over ten years.
Both indicated they would set up proper remote areas at their expense if asked. Both said they would continue. Why doesn’t HSN continue with these great people? Your customers love them, trust them, and buy from them regularly. One man is so good at what he does his last five presentations were sell outs. HSN must realize after all these years that it is not always a wonderful product selling itself. It is the quality of the presentation.
Lastly, their is no question that you can do remote guests easily. I watched yesterday as the outstanding chef Curtis Stone did remotes all day.
Recently, my aunt purchased a Lounge Doctor based on the recommendation of the guest host. Please take a moment to offer remotes to such people as Bob Circosta and Matt Peters. Your customers will appreciate it and so will the venders that they work with.
Thanks.
