Have Refund Policies Changed?

I ordered an item on 1/15/21 and needed to return. I did pay for postage for the return on 1/25/21 and tracking indicated it was delivered to Piney Flats, TN on 1/27/21. Since no refund has been issued and item not marked as being returned I called Customer Service yesterday and was told return processing takes 8 business days. Is this something new? I have always (member for over 30 years) received a very rapid return notice and refund within a couple days of actual return. Confused regarding all this. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @jans924, I apologize for any confusion this has caused. Once an item is received at the warehouse, we allow our warehouse from the date we received it to process the package. If you don’t receive your refund after the 8 days, please let us know and we’d be more than happy to help.

    I was wondering the same thing! I have noticed that returns just seem to sit in the return center warehouse for an abnormally long time before refunds are issued. It shouldn’t take 8 days to process a refund! I know my last return, sat in the warehouse for like 2 weeks and never got a refund. I had to contact customer service and the person I spoke to was amazing and she manually issued me a refund. She said she could see that my return had been sitting there for a while & wasn’t sure why my refund was never processed. I order a ton from HSN and thankfully usually never have to return stuff. But, unfortunately I did just have to return another item (item had defects) and I can see that it was returned on February 8….4 days ago and haven’t gotten my refund yet either. I’ll give it a couple more days and if I don’t see a refund, I will either have to ask them to just manually enter my refund or I will have to contact my bank and have them refund my charge. But, I’m glad to see that I am not the only one having issues with returns. I thought maybe I was just having really bad luck with returns. I have been so frustrated with how long returns sit there before refunds are processed & was wondering how many other customers have had this same issue. I’m sure lots of people are getting frustrated with the long return / refund process as well.
