Discounts. Don’t work

Has anyone else had trouble with buying as directed by host-“spend $75 get free shipping the rest of the day”, “use code ———- and get % off”, “25% off certain product line all day” -and it’s not so? Shopping early on 6/30 when the $75/free shipping announced. Charged full shipping and 3 phone call later it’s “we’ll have to watch that tape” “ too soon to adjust your order” “too late to adjust your order” “ that was clearance only”

Three different times used code, item discounted, placed order, then later item charged full price.

This morning on DG, said buy TS and get $20 off easy tank. Wouldn’t work. Most of the time it appears that host is wrong, but I can’t believe they can just make up specials and keep their jobs.
