Bot message
So not sure what changed but now when I try to watch a video of a product I get that confirm your not a bot message. If I click learn more it goes blank, if I click the bottom right it just takes me to YouTube and I am already logged in there. This is from an iPad. I’m not purchasing what I can’t watch the video of.

I’m sorry you’re having this trouble, @silv. I was not able to replicate this issue on my side. Is this still happening if you go through the confirmation?
-
It’s an IPad Pro, 6th generation running 17.6.1. I don’t see anywhere to confirm, my only option is to click the ‘learn more’ link which then blanks the area where the bot message was (the video area). In playing around further when it went to the blank screen I click the browsers back button and it started playing the video. Not sure if that was a fluke. Something not right in Safari.

I’m having exactly the same problem!

This is happening to me constantly and it is beyond frustrating. I cleared my history it didn’t help. I have to close the browser and then come back to the website and then after just 1 or 2 videos it happens again. HELP
I am on a MacBook Pro.running Monterey v 12.7.6.

I have reached out to another department to get some help on this for you. Please stay tuned!

This is bad for business. I’m not buying items I can’t see online either. A static view just doesn’t cut it. Sorry!

I’ve done some research, this is actually a YouTube issue, it’s unfortunate because HSN relies heavily on YouTube videos for their videos. I believe it has to do with YouTube blocking certain IP address ranges recently. Can’t include links here so all I can say is if curious google it, it’s hitting other companies as well. Still poses a challenge for customers to buy products without seeing a video of them, but it’ll probably take YouTube correcting their issue as that’s more likely than HSN moving their videos elsewhere.

Thank you for your research, @silv. I’ve passed this information along to another team to see if we can get this worked out.

Hi I have been having same issue, Safari 17.6. Today while I was viewing this page I hit safari on top left (did not exit forums) and on the drop down menu there was a “setting for community HSN” I selected that option and there was an option on the drop down menu to “allow all auto play” which I did and it worked for me, you could try that, hope it works for others!

Ignore my previous suggestion, it did not work for long, can’t watch any videos again.
very frustrating !! -
To @je141, @colorcrazy, @mick45, @charliek, and @sybilcat :
We’re sorry you’re not able to view the video. We leverage a YouTube video player for product videos and some customers may receive a message to “Sign in to confirm you’re not a bot” when trying to watch videos on HSN.com. This is a recent change by YouTube in an attempt to reduce bot traffic by blocking IP addresses. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to resolve the issue.
We’re happy to answer any product questions you may have.
