Being charged more than the exchange
I ordered a pair of shoes and I was going to exchange them. My husband had them in his truck and he was going to take them to the post office for me. I got the original ones as a today’s special. $49.99 free shipping. Well he had a stroke and was in an accident on the way to the post office. I didn’t even think about it. The truck has been towed and I have been so busy praying that he makes it from the stroke I haven’t even thought about the shoes let alone the truck. I just got a letter that states that I have been charged for the exchange. Okay. But they have added $20.00 more to the price and charged me for shipping and handling. So now a $49.99 pair of shoes is $69.99 plus tax plus shipping and handling and the shoes have never been more than $54.99 since I purchased the first pair. Are they so hard up that they have to charge you a lot more than you would have been charged for an exchange? I’m disgusted with HSN. I will never order anything else from them l I have $100,000.00 in medical bills right now. But I will pay them for the over charge. I was sent an email stating that I would be charged the same amount if I didn’t return the original order. I have no idea where the first pair of shoes are. The truck is in a tow yard. So now I’m paying for the original pair plus $20 more for the replacement. I can’t even afford the first pair at this point but I will pay the extra money and will never use HSN again and I will post on Facebook and any other media that I can find to discourage anyone from buying from them.

I am so sorry to hear about your husband and can completely understand your disappointment regarding the second set of charges for your shoes, @shopper889. It looks like it was due to us waiting for the original to be returned. I know that this is the last thing on your mind as you have other things to worry about. I have gone ahead and refunded the charge of $20.94, which you should see in your account within 72 business hours and have requested the future set of payments be canceled.
Though I understand that this experience has been frustrating, I hope that you can give us another chance in the future and hope your husband gets better.

I am very sorry you are going thru this. I understand what you are going thru as I had a similar experience with QVC about 5 yrs. ago. A family member was rushed to the hospital with CHF and something was going on with QVC billing. I tried to explain to them that I had been a customer since 1989 and intended to straighten the whole thing out as soon as my family member was out of danger. There was some billingdiscrepancy, Well, I rec’d letter upon letter regarding payment. Finally, I put everything else aside and I paid them the piddly amount that they claimed I owed. Needless to say, I never did business with them again. As it turned out, the person died. I was a good and loyal customer with QVC and the person who died always paid them promptly. When he died and the harassment continued until they rec’d their piddly payment, I could not help but think that some day karma would prevail.
