Authorization hold was on an order that never processed or was declined.
I NEED AN ANSWER: Can I just have the order processed and have the $220 authorization hold go towards the first FLEX PAY payment?
Sales didn’t know that it was my first time ever purchasing, so they immediately tried to process the first FLEX PAY payment (via phone call) and they should have told me that I needed to verify identity before taking $220 from my debit account. I called loss prevention and provided them with my full name, address, last 4 of social, DOB, phone number and they cleared me. I also called my bank and they said 3 days until the $220 is released, but HSN has control over the hold.
An authorization hold for 3-5 days for a product that was never confirmed to be ordered (no receipt or invoice) by the sales department is a bit ridiculous. I have to call you guys and get this sorted out within 24 hours of this post.

That’s how debit cards work. Gas stations place an authorization hold on debit cards, too.

Ok. I thought I should inquire because I haven’t experienced a three to four day authorization hold on something that was declined or cancelled. Usually a hold is released in 24 hours or less.
Thank You

We are very sorry about the inconvenience you have been experiencing. We wish we had better news. We are not able to apply the funds to a different order. A new order will have to be placed. We wish we could speed up the process. We understand how frustrating it is to have to wait for the funds to become available. Thank you so much for your patience. Please let us know what else we can do for you.
