thanks a lot not
gee graft day and no ship deals but yesterday free ship on everything. too bad i was at my doc office all day and too tired when i got home. but seriously 7.50 to ship 4 glitter pens from craft comp. but 5.50 to ship the 12 set? what gives and what ever happened to the 3-50 s/h? sorry to complain but i cant afford fifty bucks on s/h for a few craft items when no body else does this. i can buy 50 items at scrapbook.com and spend twelve bucks for all of it or zero on the days they offer free s/h you dont send coupons anymore either and im a card holder and long time shopper and used to be big spender. i dont like being charged those insane s/h rates really, 7.50 for four pens. now because i wrote a negative review i will probably be blocked from being able to post on here again. wheres the love????

I am sad that HSN no longer cares what their long-time, high spending customers think. I have posted on their FB page and sent emails requesting return of $5 shipping days. The ridiculous reply I got was they were looking at other ways to help customers save like lowering prices-LOL. They have actually raised prices. A big Thank You to fellow crafters who have informed us of free shipping from other websites. I now google anything I want and find great deals with no shipping. I bought nothing yesterday and will take my unwanted business elsewhere,

I have rarely seen coupon codes for free shipping but I do take advantage of whenever Free Shipping on everything is offered from time to time. Not as often as HSN used to offer it but I watch for it. Coupon discount codes are almost never offered for free shipping but they will offer either a dollar amount or percentage amount of a purchase amount every now and then but again, not as often as they used to. I would say a majority of the time the coupon codes aren’t offered to everyone. It’s mostly for HSN card holders. They may offer discounts to non-cardholders if you’re signed up for emails. I don’t know because I have an HSN card so that’s how I get mine. Average discount runs $20 to 20% off after spending a certain amount. That’s usually enough off to cover the shipping costs. Regardless, I don’t buy as much as I did before HSN changed everything.

I only buy craft items I really want that I can’t find anywhere else. And if I have to pay shipping for each item, I buy one item a day so HSN can’t combine the items in one box to make money on shipping. Unless more than one item is about to sell out, then I might buy them in the same day. But that’s not very often. Otherwise I wait for a Free Shipping day or a coupon with enough discount to offset the shipping.

I’ve seen several comments about people receiving coupons they use for shipping. I’ve been a long time customer of HS N and spend a lot of money on craft items but have never received a coupon before. Is there something I needed to do in order to receive such a coupon? Have these coupons been discontinued?

I get emails all the time from HSN, probably at least 1 a day but often times multiple emails per day. Maybe you have to sign up for email promotions, but I don’t think I ever did. I think as soon as I ordered from them the first time I started getting emails.

I just went to My Account and then chose Manage Preferences from the drop down menu. There are options to receive emails for various things. Make sure the boxes are checked if you want to receive the messages.

The same here. I was looking on their website in June when I saw a coupon code on the screen that for a change I didn’t have to have an hsn card to use. It was for multiple uses, $5 off items of $20 or more. They later sent me the same code in the post. Normally I don’t get anything like that.
You can sign up for emails from them if you don’t mind being constantly spammed. I’ve never seen such a hard sell company in my life. They might send you some codes that way. When I did that in the past it really took some doing to get them to stop spamming mśe, and I’m not sure I want to go through that again just in case they might send me an occasional discount code or free shipping code. It was almost all advertising with no codes. I think I might have got some sort of code once a year.

That’s a good idea about buying things on different days, if there’s something you really want, so they can’t profit so much on shipping, unless they do what amazon do and combine orders anyway. If you wait awhile, almost everything will be available elsewhere, even if you have to search a bit for it. Maybe I’m only imagining it, but I feel like hsn hate their customers now, or at least couldn’t care less about them. Customer service used to be more flexible and accommodating. Now they just don’t care at all, at least not in my experience. I got what I consider a very cold response when I wrote to them about the shipping. I don’t really care that much, though, because I don’t need them. I’ve already received some and have got more of the new CC items on the way from England for cheaper prices, no tax, and free shipping, and I’ll wait for the AG items to be put onto her website with free shipping. Hsn can take a flying leap, I care even less about them than they do about me, and I spent probably easily thousands in the past, but that means nothing to them. They’d rather charge silly high shipping prices and lose customers.
