Old Stock Gemini Junior
I wanted one last thing before I close my HSN card and not buy from HSN again. So I ordered a Crafter’s Companion Gemini Junior on the last crafting day. I received it on 8/24/2020. I could tell it was old because the shipping tape had soaked into the cardboard of the shipping box. After investigating I found out it was shipped to HSN 10/2018. It’s been sitting on their shelf for two years!! It didn’t even have the new magnetic shim with the grid. That model got a lot of bad reviews at HSN and the other online companies that sold it for permanently quitting after a few uses/weeks/months, eating plates and burning up. What are they doing sending out old inventory!! Be very careful of what you are getting. A while back I was assured by customer service that they never ship out returns or old inventory for new orders. That is just not true. Something has changed big time at HSN.

Yes, I agree with you about Customer Service. I do believe they do their very best to help in and I appreciate them for that. They must get an earful these days from the customers.

They definitely resell used and returned merchandise that clearly isn’t marked “As Is” because I’ve gotten many items that clearly were returns. I called CS and they always waived the return shipping cost. You can get the Gemini Jr. from many vendors at a better price than HSN. Even Crafter’s Companion is having a sale right now on their website. I have the big Gemini and I love it. Good luck!

Good for you! That’s the way to do it. I certainly did not get a deal and paid close to $200. BUT there was an easy return label for $10 shipping and customer service waved that for me. They are pretty nice people in cust service and try their best to help us with what they have to work with. I bet they get many “ears full” in their job and may have to crack the wine at the end of the day! Especially lately.

Same thing with fashions. I was looking at a clearance top and the comment was from mid 2017. You would think they would want to turn over older merchandise to make room for newer items. That doesn’t seem to be the case sine HSN was taken over. I used to check daily to snap up items that were price dropped. Don’t have to when clearance prices can remain the same for 6 to 9 months. I am saving a ton of money–no more impulse buying!
