Empress Mini….
I have a Cricut (plus lots of cartridges) and a Cuttlebug. I know the Empress standard & mini are both electric, but why do I need this in addition to the Cricut & Cuttlebug??
Thanks for the help,

The electronic machines are life changing. When you get to a point when you can afford to purchase you will love it. Since the cuttlebug is discontinued there are folks getting rid of theirs. That may be an option for you. Reach out to AG facebook fans.
Also as I was packing my Cuttlebug for my granddaughter and discovered that the Cuttlebug “B” plates, embossing mat and magnetic plate work in the the Empress. So don’t throw them away.
Good luck!

I LOVE die cutting and embossing. I used to be a big fan of the Cuttlebug, but developed carpal tunnel and later had surgery. The Empress allows me to cut and emboss until my heart is content. I am very excited to be getting the Mini Empress. Hubby ordered it for my birthday gift. I work from home and my craft desk also my work desk, and the original Empress is just too big to keep on my desk all of the time. Her little sister, however, is just right!

Cricut has announced that they are discontinuing the Cuttlebug and accessories, so as machines break and plates wear out, eventually owners will have to choose another machine. So it is really just a question of invest now or wait until you have to. I love my Cuttlebug and hope that it lasts a good while longer. I would love to be able to afford the Empress mini but since I can’t , I am waiting for the new manual wider Diamond Press. Happy Crafting.
