Diamond Press Prices
Does anyone else think DP prices are getting too expensive? Add the shipping and it’s ridiculous! At least it is for me. 🙁

Agree, prices keep going up, along with the shipping charges and tax can be an extra $12-$15 PER Product, so yeah I’m out unless I get a reusable coupon for each order.
I know I can buy most of the products cheaper on vendor or other websites– with zero shipping!, so HSN better wake up and go back to $5 fill your cart along with better pricing. Plus I don’t think I’m dreaming that the sales prices went up between last & tonight.. several items on my Alert list were cheaper yesterday .. so now they’re higher but 5 flex instead of 3.. whoopdeedoo🥴
As for DP, I think most of their dies & kits were smaller in qty and size a few years ago, they didn’t offer slimline or the larger dies back then, but agree the prices were $19-$25 for most of them, now more like $35 or more, but it does seem they’re offering more variety and larger dies. -
This is all thanks to COVID. All of this stuff comes from China. I don’t know what, if any, issues China is having with staffing the factories but I assume they have lost a number of workers. All of the cargo ships that bring stuff over are backed up because the ports here don’t have enough workers. The waters off the ports on both coasts are full of container ships that have to just sit there because there aren’t enough people to unload them at the docks. Shipping costs within the US have gone up. So yes, these companies have to increase their prices in order to be able to sell the products and still make a profit.

None of that explains why Diamond Press’s prices on their website are much cheaper than on hsn. They don’t have everything, but what they do have is cheaper.

Yes, I do, and there’s not just the shipping but the nearly 10% tax where I am as well as tax on the shipping, which hsn add on. Some of those products are now starting at over $40 before adding the rest on, and can end up at over $50. I don’t think they’re worth that much money. I have a lot of DP products, mostly from when they were better value, and their affordability was one of their main selling points.
It’s not just DP, though. Anna Griffin’s new Hanukkah Card Kit would end up costing almost $80 all in to make only 20 cards, which I think is ridiculous. I can remember when her card kits cost about $25 to $30 before shipping & tax. The Hanukkah one is about $66 before shipping & tax.
They are pricing themselves out of business, at least for me they are. I’ve got too much stuff as it is and should be getting rid of some of it, not buying more.
