Diamond Press Grand Marquis Folders
Has anyone had warping problems with the new Grand Marquise folders? I used the small one about 15 times, and I’m disappointed. The folder didn’t last much longer than the original folders. I emailed Diamond Press about the problem. I asked them to reconsider their decision to no longer put folders in our orders. Either that or lower the price. The large GM folders with shipping and tax is just under $25.And that’s for 4 folders. I usually love their products, but this is a big miss. During the presentation, Beth said we’d never have to buy more folders because they wouldn’t warp
. Maybe I got a lemon?

Have you tried heating them up and re shaping them with a heat gun. I do that from time to time.
I also cut ior emboss on on side only. when it gets really bendy i cut them apart and and make new folders with the flat ones and try to reshape the used ones. Makes them last a bit longer. but in all reality they all get bent out of shape no matter what brand you are using. Even my electric die machines get out of shape.

Yes, I just got mine and spent a lot of money on dies, kits, and embossing folders. My confusion is the big folders say to but them in open side first, however; the smaller ones do not have instruction as to which side goes in first. Im going to assume it’s the closed side because after two passes it warped. I was so excited to go on this creative journey now my hopes are dashed. I’m very disappointed.

The folders do warp, but even warped they still work. I store mine with binder clips on them and that helps. I really like using the diamond press machines.

I held off buying it to see how the folders held up. I have watch several YouTube bloggers using the new machine. The folders warp really bad. For the over all cost I would buy Anna Griffins die cutting machine. Or another brand like Spellbinders. Just look for them to go on sell.
