Sale Prices

Has anyone noticed that sale prices are misleading? I’ve seen many items where the markdown is $1 or less. For example, an aquamarine pendant “on sale” for $499 and the regular price is $499.95. Seriously? They do the same thing for Lancome, items “on sale” for $1 less than the regular price. Do they think we don’t notice?

I have, yet it’s sometimes has the shipping costs deducted. When you add it up w/price included.
