Price changes AFTER order placed
I’ve been ordering from HSN/QVC for many years. It’s only recently that I’ve been having repeated problems with discount showing at time order is placed and then cost changing after order placed (And yes I read the restrictions carefully) Sometimes the prices change as soon as order is placed and sometimes it’s the next day. As far as what people say about discount applied later, that is a lie as far as my experience. (I wonder how many people posting are actually their employees )
When order is at point that you “submit” there is absolutely no legitimate reason for them changing price and then changing it back again later as some people have posted.
I used to call CS and try to get it corrected. After lengthy discussion and being placed on hold, I have never had the problem fixed. Even after taking screenshots they say they can’t accept them. Once in a blue moon they will give a “courtesy “ credit like they are doing me a big favor.
I have discovered that a lot of the time the merchandise can be bought elsewhere for same or lower price. I used to brag on HSN/QVC, now I warn people.

I ordered a pair of jeans and used a coupon for free shipping. It looked like the coupon was applied. Then, after completing the checkout, the shipping was reinstated. I promptly cancelled the order. I realize that the coupon may indicate that they will remove the shipping fee “later” but I fail to understand that if the shipping fee was taken off in the first place, why tack it back on and then remove it later? What is the purpose in that? HSN, I have enjoyed purchasing items from you, but I am NOT going to play “musical chairs” or “ring around the rosies” with you.

Coupons and Spendable Ka$h that are showing “applied'” when ordering can disappear if too many flexpays are chosen that don’t make sense to the IT system. Also if one increases the number of flexpays after coupon has been applied it will bounce it out at the end. Call CS and they will reinstate the coupon and any SK lost but you may want them to help you place the order correctly so it doesn’t keep happening when doing it on your own.

This literally just happened to me! Added item to cart, entered coupon code, it accepts the code, shows the total as being the amount less the coupon. Perfect right? Not so fast! As soon as I submit the order, the order confirmation shows the original price! A total bait and switch. I wonder how many people don’t even notice it’s happened? The exact same thing happened the last time I used a coupon code also, so it’s not some random fluke. I canceled the order ( I was NOT able to do it on my phone, I had to sign in on my computer to cancel) but I will absolutely check my credit card to make sure they don’t charge me anyway. If you used a coupon code, check to make sure you got the correct price. Also, good luck finding a customer service number if you need to call them. I’m done.

Guess what?? after 4 days, I still didn’t get the credit. So, I just called CS AGAIN, Senior supervisor said I’m sorry, but I can’t do anything about the system error. I applied your credit; it should show 24-72 hours.
Well, the first supervisor I talked to on 1/12/23, told me the same thing, yet nothing happened, and I had to call again.Hsn is charging for an item, the day you purchase, not when it’s shipped. /per CC statement/
So, I have to wait 7 days or more, for my credit, just because of the system error. Yet, they’re charging at DOP.
Hsn don’t care anymore!!! not like before.
HSN SHOULD REMEMBER THIS: IT’S EASY TO SELL, BUT KEEPING THE CUSTOMERS IS THE KEY TO A SUCCESFULL SALES ORGANIZATION

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve called CS after placing an order and having it coming up different than it should. The first time is always “it’s too early, you’ll have to call back later “. Next day “it’s too late the order has been placed, call back after you’ve received merchandise “ Then its, “I’m sorry there’s nothing I can do at this point, I don’t see any evidence of what you’re saying”. And you’re right about prices being lower elsewhere. I learned to check and more times than not I bought elsewhere

OMG, I’m also so. so done with HSN.
Just put in my cart 2 item with applying my spendable kash and 20% off coupon. I checked and calculated the total amount that was showing, and it was correct.
Then I clicked on submit order and guess what????? The system took off my spendable kash amount and my 20% off coupon.
I immediately called CS/supervisor and the supervisor said I’m sorry, she tried to apply the total discount to one of the orders, but she said the system showing its processing. It’ll adjust the amount after midnight. if not, please call back on monday, then we’ll credit your account.
Well, before CS applied the discount, I was able to see it immediately, once I refreshed my system.I guess we just really have to check what is the hsn system does and how much it is charging us.
I’m sick and tired of checking and spending time calling then have to explain my self about the situation.
Burrr. I guess after 20 some years finally I come to the end about all the problems I have with this firm.
Besides, I saw Korres, beekman 1802 and several other brands in stores for much less than hsn is charging.
OH, BUT THEY ALWAYS SAY, THIS IS EXLUSIVE TO HSN!! I don’t think so.I’m so upset and angry.

This is truly concerning. I have had the price change after a ‘special’ 25% discount (later to be correctly billed) but having spendable kash vanish is super concerning. Very few customers want to deal with not knowing where they stand on price charged for days. Please HSN, let us know what we are being charged when and immediately after orders are placed.

This website is IMPOSSIBLE! This is NOT where I’m trying to post but is the ONLY place I’m allowed! EVERY game I’m trying to play and I click on something it gives me SOMETHING ELSE. It’s Impossible to play any game! NOTHING has changed on my end. Is anyone else experiencing similar?

I have had no problem after the order is placed and then the item goes lower. Try going to your order summary by clicking on the order number to the left of the description. This will bring you to the amount you paid, etc.. You can do a copy and paste on the order#. This way you can go to the chat section. This is to the left under customer service on the same page. I find going here quite a bit easier and gets you the lower amount. It is also fas ter than dialing the 800 # and waiting for a rep to answer. Hope this helps. It isn’t a matter of placing an order then the price goes lower. It is the opposite. I submit an order which has certain specials, coupons, discounts, etc offered (and yes I read the details and restrictions) then when order is entered and it comes up with “it’s yours” there is a higher price than what I essentially agreed to when placing the order. Sometimes it’s the next day that the price changes.
Also, I’ve done screenshots before placing order and then afterwards. They aren’t worth anything. I recently tried to check on an order that had increased after being placed. When I said I had screenshots of the order before and after being placed, tHey could care less. The rep told me she couldn’t use screenshots in any way.
On another order I tried a coupon that was shown (20% off an item). It went through showing the discounted price so I placed order. Turns out that I had used the coupon a few weeks before on a higher price item. Instead of telling me the coupon couldn’t be used but once – THEY CHANGED THE PRICE OF THE PREVIOUS ORDER ($100 item)TAKING BACK THE DISCOUNT AND GAVE ME THE DISCOUNT ON THE LESSER AMOUNT ITEM ($20 item)
Can you imagine shopping at your local supermarket, buying what was on sale, using your coupons, etc.. The total comes up to $100, but after all the deductions are entered you owe maybe $45 let’s say. The the clerk tells you you have to pay the entire $100 today but in a few weeks you’ll be given the discounts back, so you’re really not paying the higher price at all. (THEY JUST ARE GOING TO USE YOUR MONEY FOR A FEW DAYS) You’d leave your groceries and walk out after saying a few choice words. And you wouldn’t go back to that store.
But HSN customers are expected to do just that, their credit card charged a higher price and then getting promised discount later. In the first place this is a load of to even say this in the first place and second, I have checked my statements carefully and I have never been given the discounts later. Maybe some people do and maybe they work for HSN and just say what they’re told to say.
The first time this happened was almost a year ago and the discounts promised when order was placed was only $2-3 on some already clearance items of $9.99. I talked to a CS rep, got no help and so I let it go. (It was worth the $9.99 to me anyway)
But this has been happening more frequently. Occasionally I’m “given” a credit to placate me but not actually admitting the problem.
I’ve but from HSN regularly for over a decade, spending way more than I should. Buying everything from makeup, clothes, shoes, household, etc but enough. I have returned everything bought before Christmas (and went out and bought gifts locally like I should have in the first place)
It’ll have to be something extreme before I’ll place another order with HSN.
