Outrageous way to conduct business
I received an email from HSN offering a lowered price for Lucky Brand ballet flats saved to my Favorites however when I tried to take advantage of the lowered price of $22.94 by clicking on the “Buy Now” link the price did not change from the $26.99 listed on the HSN website. On calling customer service to ask why I could not take advantage of the offer made I was informed that there was nothing that could be done to change the price on the website – not even by deducting the $4.05 difference as spendable kash or another form of credit to allow me to purchase these ballet flats at the price offered via the email. FYI I clicked on the link on 8/21/24 upon receipt of the email message and was met with the same result on 8/22 where the price of $26.99 remained the same – based on the suggestion from the customer service rep I spoke to maybe the offer was only meant to be used on 8/21/24 and would expire but no such wording was in existence on the message received. I have not ordered from HSN for quite some time due to ongoing issues I experienced with my several orders for HUE leggings and now it appears as if this practice of false advertising of a product and declaration of not being available upon ordering is now applying to these ballet flats. Please investigate why I was sent this email and why I could not purchase at the price offered especially when there is currently free shipping on shoes or like the leggings will it be possible when the lowered price is no longer available and is raised?

@oz4ever, we’re truly sorry for the frustrating experience you had with trying to order the flats! Would you mind forwarding us the email you received to HSNSocialCare@hsn.com so we can take a look into this further? In the meantime, I’ve added a $10 Spendable Ka$h amount to your account, that you can use on the order to bring the price down.

As requested the HSN email in question has been forwarded to you wherein I also advised that I had done the same on 8/22/24 to another HSN email address but have yet to receive a response so hopefully this attempt will be more successful.

Consider yourself lucky to have been issued 10.00 in spendable cash. I have experienced much worse issues or unfairness over the years and many times receive nothing, Spendable cash is not distributed easily or equally when problems like this happen. I think I have the same Lucky flats in my favorites they are 26.99 on clearance. I never received an alert about a lower price. I have also never received an email for an alert on a reduced price . They always notify you in your “alerts” online the same way they do if an item in your favorites is getting low in stock or an item becomes available again after selling out. Is the item number 841612 Lucky Brand Emmie Ballet Flat? The online price is still 26.99 so if you can get them for 16.99 with your 10.00 spendable cash that’s a great deal! They are very cute shoes!

Receiving spendable kash is never expected and is not the issue – what is expected is the ability to take advantage of a lowered price offer to purchase an item which is not the first time such a message has been received for various products over the years in addition to the “alert” notifications. Either way my continued experiences with similar situations regarding the ordering process and advertised product availability along with the principle of being able to purchase at an offered price prompted the post for investigation not a request for financial gain.
