Clearance Prices HIGHER Than They Were A Few weeks Ago
I have never heard of Clearance Prices being marked up!!
A Heidi Daus I purchased a few weeks back (actually purchased three colors) I decided to go back and buy the other color- The clearance price now $72.71 it was $69.95
Marked up nearly $3

I know right? They did that last year too, around this time. But seriously, who in the world raises the clearance prices….only here. Of course some of what they call clearance priced, is far from clearance priced. I laugh at some of it. Some of the prices, just look like what I would call a sale price, not a clearance.

I know what you mean, not the HSN I once knew!
Just about done shopping here.
Remember the good old days…
Full skin care kits, now one product wonders!! hahaha!
Partys over, taking my money elsewhere
They can keep their flex pay
With the inflated prices your extra flex serves as interest on your credit card.
Meaning the extra flex is taking care of interest payments for good standing customers.
Hope this makes sense??? -
This has happened on Jay King items too. Also, they flag something as a new markdown, when it isn’t.

This is just one of many reasons why I am shopping elsewhere like the Liquidation Channel. They had a gorgeous sale that started shortly after Christmas. Prices were great and less, I mean a lot less than HSN. They now have stones I’ve never heard of. Every weekend and sometimes during the week they have a percentage off some of their items. It’s not 20% off up to $20 less, but the percentage off the entire day on the items you purchase. So, if it’s 30% off it’s 30% off the entire purchase. And most times that percentage also includes clearance items. Yesterday they had $1 sale on certain things. Also they have a $2.99 shipping charge and sometimes free shipping. Go check them out. They also supply HSN with some of their rough.

Interesting, don’t know if Xfinity has that channel

Channel 83. But you can watch online too shoplc.com

Oodie, I have been looking at shop LC here and there and wow, some great deals.
Also, why doesn’t SKINN have more items? I ran out of the two moisturizers and its not in stock.
Very surprised.

this is normal in fashion its a seasonal thing
-
Yes they were its seasonal for month ro month

jmc, I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. Increased prices are paying for all the new flex pays. I don’t use flex pay so the new selling ploy is hurting me and others like me. The reasons I loved shopping at HSN are dwindling.

I agree with you 100% . HSN and QVC just aren’t worth my time or money anymore. I found the apparel becoming more and more flimsy and unflattering. Also more and more expensive. Susan Graver–QVC’s #1 “designer”, has been producing the same items over and over again in different colors, slightly different style but still all the same. Logo? Please. And where is my Linea by Louis del’Olio? He han’t been around in way too long. My personal favorite as well is Dennis Basso. I can always count on them to come through. I’d like to know what’s going on at these companies. I don’t even watch anymore because of the new hosts. Love the “oldies” but goodies but the new people: I just turn it off. It makes me rather sad.

I agree.
And I’m really disheartened by HSN supporting all the hype about products from countries that “claim” they don’t do animal testing, stating that their government has ruled against it, when in reality they – do – test on animals and are soul-sickeningly cruel. I know this because I know people who fly into those countries, rescue animals, and fly them back to the USA for loving care and adoption, like the wonderful ranch for those rescued animals here in Malibu CA where they are brought back to health and given loving homes. It’s amazing to see how quickly they respond to love, even after all the pain and torture they’ve been through, they give unconditional love right back.
HSN discontinued Serious Skin Care and other really good vendors and are pushing products from S. Korea! -
HSN has raised clearance prices before. I remember the feeling of disgust at the time. The price increase is about 3%. And yes, they’ve done it again.
No other site, where I shop, does this.HSN’s answer to competition seems to be, lowering quality and service, while raising prices.
I guess they’re hoping we’re to dumb to notice.
The standard price of items, also seems to escalate at the same rate each year. Check your order status to compare your routine product prices year to year.
Many on line sites offer Free Shipping every day, after a specific sum IE: 49.00.
At HSN, Free Shipping is treated as a “Big Event”…..
One tires of the “slight of hand” tricks.

i have seen prices on regular items and clearance items go up. why? i have a budget. i have select items i purchase for gifts and projects. when there is no combined or free shipping, that also hurts when a necklace is now $5.50 to ship and a electric screwdriver to lights are now $7.50 to ship. the shipping pretty much defeats any sales price. once you add tax into the mix, an item is now $7-10 more on your first flexpay. since the merger, HSN is getting out of my league.

I noticed too.

I also have noticed clearance items going up in price. I put a steamer basket in my cart and it went from $10.00 to $11.32 on clearance. Did you think I wouldn’t notice?
Another amazing issue is the lovely $3.50 shipping and handling that magically become $7.95 when you decide to return it. Nickle and dime me to death?
I was just on the fence about buying the Diane Gilman TS, no thank you. Which makes me sad. I can’t afford spending basically $8.00 to try something on. I might not like the fit, the drape, the fabric the color etc. Too bad HSN. I may still order on occasion but I will be very careful about the try on and returning with no questions asked and full refund.. because that is really no longer true. If you are going to charge me $7.95 to return something charge me $7.95 when I order it! -
You are so right! Things are so out of hand at QVC and HSN. Try Zara.com for a nice change. Good luck.

I had several items in my favorites list and the prices did increase anywhere from $3.00 – $5.00. The worst item was a red trench coat which I had on watch for $77.00. I received an alert that my item was now on sale for, $79.00!! The price is now, $99.00!!!
Needless to say, I purged my favorites list of quite a few items. I don’t like the game playing with prices, quality of items and HIGH s/h charges.

Does “Clearance” mean the product is discontinued or no longer being carried?
