Very short time to cancel a order
Last night, at 11:50pm i ordered three things on my computer. Shortly before twelve thirty I decided I didn’t want to get the stuff at this time and went on my computer to cancel. I could no longer cancel because it was packaging. I just look now at 12:48pm the next day and it is still packaging. My thoughts are that they don’t give you enough time to cancel but we’ll see it be in packaging for day or 2 before they ship it. When in that time, I could have canceled the item. I don’t feel this is fair. I feel they should give you at least an hour or 2. Maybe longer, if you want to cancel. Needless to say, I can’t cancel the item because it’s in packaging now for over 12 hours.

I learned the midnight rule years ago. I like it better than QVC, which at one time allowed cancellations for days and days, which indicates orders are stagnant. I appreciate that HSN ships quickly, most of the time.
I know very few companies that allow cancellations, anyway. One company I order from allows 15 minutes to cancel, another allows an hour. -
I would definitely call customer service and complain because that is just crazy!

@abby19083, sorry for the disappointment. We allow up to midnight ET the day an order is placed for the order to be cancelled. At midnight ET each day, the day’s orders are sent to our warehouse for shipping and are unable to be cancelled at this point. I truly apologize for the inconvenience, and will be happy to pass along your feedback.

Not to self- never order right before midnight because that would be ridiculous given the time frame. You should have more than a few minutes to cancel your order if the order is placed that late.

In defense of HSN, I have been a customer for 30 years and I learned back then that it is an easy Cancel as long as done by midnight,. If an order is placed at 11:50 then you only have a 10 minute time period to cancel, these are the rules , I would not expect them to change. I find it very fair as long as my order is placed earlier.

I’ve been a customer for a very long time. And I never knew that rule, nor have they statrd that at any time when you’re ordering. I do know now not to order anywhere close two midnight. Unfortunately now when I return I will be charged to return fee.
