Trying not to be too critical, but …
Perlier show this afternoon has a product demo for the moisturizer/serum today’s special and the in studio model has really pronounced and active acne. I’m not trying to be mean, but I don’t think it’s the right person for the product. I think it would be great for a demo for may be some of Skinn products or SSC products to talk about treating inflamed skin but not for this particular product or product line. It is not an effective presentation and and I feel bad for the demo model. Am I being too critical?

Well if I want something I don’t care who’s presenting it or who is modeling it I will buy it. All my purchases are online but I watch my favorites on the TV or just for entertainment I watch . I saw “not so great” models for Perlier but bought anyhow because I love Perlier. I’m not sure why but the past several months I have been buying stuff like crazy. Lots of jewelry on clearance and clothing, beauty everything . But I am not a new customer . It would be interesting to find out if newer customers stopped from buying something because the model or presenter turned them off. Any newer customers that can comment?

Most brand new buyers are not going to come to this board – at least right away. Some will, but most will not.

Yes, I figured that, but doesn’t hurt to try!,

You are not being critical. The fact she didn’t know how to use the product shows the new product coordinators are not doing their jobs and trust that Skip will either have them teach that model what she needs to know or get a new model. That mess up on their show could have cost them literally THOUSANDS of buyers, and the Borgheses, as nice as they are, are a successful business family for good reason. I bet she is not asked back. I will be surprised if she is.

Thousands? Thousands of buyers? Remember when HSN would put the countdown on the screen, of how many orders were available? When was the last time you saw that? I know everyone wants to blame hurricanes for the move, but I think it’s dismal sales.
HSN knows exactly how many people are watching and buying at any given moment, and I seriously doubt it’s thousands. -
YES, THOUSANDS of buyers. Not just for the ONE product, but if they are turned off of ONE product, chances are that they will not buy anything else from the brand. Their one chance to make a new customer can be made or broken by a bad first look. That number was the amount of new orders made during one visit.

I was watching that show yea the models were well not the best. It was funny because one was showing the Black Rice face cream and it was a very white cream . She applied it like it was a cleanser! There was NO WAY she would of ever been able to rub it all in. Her whole face and neck was solid white! After the camera was on her for a few seconds they quickly moved on and never did go back to her for the presentation.
