No longer a believer

I let Lisa Robertson from QVC persuade me to buy things. Then I realized it was just a sales pitch. I haven’t trusted Amy from day one. I read reviews before I buy anything. At least you caught on. Sad thing is some never will.

Last week she swore by the new Tan Luxe Self Tanning Oil, this week it was the Hampton Sun, next week it will be another brand. This is quite common place for all hosts.

The hosts are nothing more than salesmen. They are there too sell you a product by making you think it’s the absolute best, at the absolute best price. I bought into that also, until I found some of the same products cheaper elsewhere. Now I shop around and read reviews like crazy to avoid returns.

The Hosts are salespeople but I don’t understand anyone blaming them for “forcing you” to buy. That’s a weak excuse. I assume we’re all adults here, blaming someone else for what you do is childish.

Yes, it is a salesman’s job to sell. Maybe the hosts are under more pressure to sell these days. It is a shame that almost all hosts will stretch the true to make a sale. It is basically lying.

That’s what they’re paid for, to sell. We’re to believe everything they say but you have to allow common sense to come in somewhere. I don’t believe them any more than I think that everyone of them is telling me the truth. The hosts make money because they sell, if they can’t keep their sales up, they’re let go.
