My Problem?
What’s going on? Today I ordered the Tweaked hair mist and scrub. With today’s presentation, the total was around $85, but credit card charged $104. I immediately called customer service. The rep could not figure out why I was overcharged and advised me to wait a couple of days and then call my credit card company. Is this a normal response? It was HSN who overcharged, but it would be up to me to resolve the issue “after the effect”. I was uncomfortable having to do all of the “work” and thought HSN should have rectified the problem. Instead I canceled my order, which is really frustrating because I needed the hair scrub. Is this protocol for HSN or did I just get an incompetent customer representative?

You need to call back the rep you spoke to doesn’t know what she is doing at all & she made up anything to send you away.
If it happens again ask to speak to their supervisor but I doubt that it will they have incompetent people in customer service, but they also have many very helpful and competent people you just had a person that should not be working for HSN it has happened to me.
I called back and the next rep fixed the issue.
It was HSN who charged you incorrectly not your bank.
They need to credit your card back the difference. Also, they will ask if you want the credit back to your method of payment of spendable cash the decision is yours.
You should also report the woman who took your call initially even if they can’t find out who she is let them aware they have someone working for them that is not doing their job. -
I am at a lost as to what to do about an HSN purchase I never received and HSN still wants me to pay for it. I have been a customer for over thirty years and never had a problem receiving any purchase until now. I tried calling and reasoning with them with no resolution. The delivery person placed the package in plan sight on the steps of the porch rather than placing the package by the door where everyone else puts packages. When I got home there was nothing on the steps. When I called I got the run around. I tried to dispute it with the credit card company as well. I can’t see paying over $200 to HSN for something I haven’t received. Whose to say the delivery person didn’t take it back after snapping the picture. There was a lot of that going on around Christmas time everywhere so who should be held responsible?

I agree with you. The credit card company will have you file a dispute and that takes time to resolve. You should not have to do anything, HSN should resolve this and at the very least explain the charges in detail and remove any over charges immediately.

Hi Nikkistonewall. First of all, I would contact your credit card company to give them the information that transpired when you made or rather tried to make a purchase. I would not wait for HSN to contact them. Canceling your order was the right thing to do under these circumstances. It is what I would do. However, not making things right when you spoke with CS, is incorrect. CS on the other end can make the changes. Example: Last week there was a TS with Samantha Brown where there were a couple of items that were bonus buys. In my case those bonus purchases came up as an original price. I contacted CS immediately through “Chat”” and though they could not change that total they were able to give me some help in another way. Since you cancelled the order, why not try to re-enter it again to see what happens. You may be able to see the correct total this time and be once again a happy customer.
Not all Customer Service Reps are bad. It’s just that some can think outside of the box and do miraculous things. Have a great day and a better tomorrow.
It just dawned on me, did the total include shipping and tax?

Thank you for caring and responding so thoroughly. It’s often a rare gift for someone to care about a stranger. I took your advice and reordered, because I really wanted the hair scrub. This time the price was correct on the HSN site under my orders, but my card was stilled charged incorrectly. I took a screenshot of the correct prices and total from my account and will wait a couple of days to see if the incorrect pending amount on my credit card is corrected when charged. In my previous transaction, the Bonus Buy was showing full price . I feel a little more comfortable and protected since my HSN account is showing correct amount. If my credit card does not change to the correct total, I’ll insist that HSN credit me the difference.
