Models should know how to sell

I find a couple of things about the models that I find very frustrating and the hosts don’t help. First, regarding pants, the models don’t turn around all the time to show how the pockets fit. I want to see where the pockets are in the back….if they’re too low, I’m not interested and half the time they don’t turn around or they have tops or jackets on that cover half the pant. That’s really helpful…..
Next are the skin care models. They apply certain neck creams as if their necks are made of glass and their hands of stone. Neck creams are supposed to be applied upward and with pressure, but some models look like they’re using a feather. And then they rarely apply the creams or oils between the top lip and the bottom of the nose. Why, when this is part of the face that may have lines or wrinkles or is dry. I don’t know but these two things drive me up a wall!!!
I wish the show hosts would read this if they really want to Sell.

What are you talking about?? The only time I see models talking is with Colleen, and she does not do that much, if at all, since the move. The models are doing much better. I see a lot of backsides and pockets most of the time. All this continued complaining is crazy.

The models all talk now. They’re too busy trying to be cute and giggly. I liked it better when the models didn’t talk. They actually modeled the clothes.

  I agree. Sometimes they’re so busy talking that I just change the channel. They should always be reviewing the items, that’s their job. I’m not interested in their stories. I’m watching because I may be interested in the items.

Perhaps no one has trained them to turn all the way around, to remove a blazer or cardigan and toss it over their shoulder to highlight a dress, skirt or pair of pants, it might be that they don’t bother because they’re not getting constructive criticism aimed at helping them actually showcase the item on air – being offered at the time. Seems like common sense to me to just show the garment on air but maybe they just need to be reminded.

  I agree it’s common sense. But a model should be trained before modeling clothes so that the viewers know how an item fits, front and back. It seems like these shopping shows are using more models these days and the vendors should care how their items are being shown.
