Does HSN host price quote represent a verbal contract?
Once again tonight, an HSN host quoted a $34.95 Beekman item at a $34 orice offer.Doesn’t this constitute a verbal price guarantee? I am so frustrated by this sales technique. I think we were all taught in school how to round up or round down. Strangely, if the original price was 59.95, that is quoted as $60 not $59. Please ask hosts to quote accurate pries or else honor the price they quote.

I have to agree, sometimes liberties are taken. Just like a poster above sometimes I do a double take then realize the price they are saying is for the first payment not the cost of the item, then not including shipping. (or tax but that varies)
I doubt anything they are saying constitutes anything illegal however, or binds QVC or HSN to that cost. Not when the actual item cost is shown.

I also believe they include charing taxes on the S&H. I will never understand this.

HSN’s Conditions of Use protects them from inadvertent errors in advertised prices.

I’ve heard them give the flex-pay price as if it was the total price!! I’ve had to take a double look at the real price, just to know what something really costs totally.
ALSO, when they say “get this home” for whatever the flex amount is, they NEVER include the cost of shipping and tax!! Your first payment ALWAYS includes shipping and tax. Why don’t they tell you that upfront?
