Dennis From Tweak D Not Truthful!!
He was just on air talking about the hair balm 802-257 saying it does not coat your hair with chemicals..Thats just not true because under ingredients it has PTFE which is teflon.Yes the stuff we avoid in pots n pans..If this gets on scalp and hands it goes into the bloodstream and not good for health.

I love Dennis products I have a bundle of them, but the issue that I have is when he sends you the tub for whatever you’re going to use for your hair at the bottom, you have to peel it to get the instructions and directions and I always have an issue with that. The whole thing comes off. I can’t get instructions and directions and that’s what’s annoying, I call HSN QVC and they can’t help so I don’t know what to do next. Probably send it back. It’s really annoying when you want to use the products and they tell you to peel here and the whole thing peels off but you can’t see the instructions and directions but I love his products .

I liked his shampoo and conditioner. My hair has so much bounce and looks great.
-
I was just ordering another product that the price has gone way down and had that in it. I just canceled it. So glad I found out before hand.
-
You are right. It is listed in that product. I better look in the products I have bought. You never know.
-
Continuation of my above post; I believe Dennis has the best interest of his customers at top-priority. I love that he travels globally for rare natural products, and ancient methods. I believe he’s sincere. I would like to know more about the additives he uses, as I use many of his products and love them – but “Clean Beauty” is a must.
Have a great day all ((((( group hugs )))))) ~ -
Thank you FLOMO, for posting that PTFE is contained in some Tweak-D products !!!
FYI –Teflon may be listed on labels as: Teflon, Perfluoroalkylethyl Phosphate, Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), Polyperfluoromethylisopropyl Ether, DEA-C8-18.
Fluorinated chemicals like Teflon don’t break down in the environment – they’re found in oceans, local waterways, and in animals, fish, and people. They’ve even been found in super remote regions in the polar ice caps.
PTFE products that aren’t washed down the drain wind up in the landfill, where they can either seep into waterways or be incinerated. This is extra concerning, because PTFE releases toxic gases into the atmosphere when burned.
Up until a few years ago, PTFE was considered especially hazardous due to potential contamination with PFOA (a suspected carcinogen and endocrine disruptor). In the last couple of years, PFOAs have been phased out and replaced with similar compounds. Despite this change, PFOAs are still found in 99.7 percent of U.S. adult’s bodies since the compound never breaks down. -

I have to agree re: the PTFE. It’s also listed as an ingredient in his Tweak-d 2XL Fiber Lift Dry Volumizing Spray 627-030.
So really Denis? Clean Beauty?
I have that spray and now I wonder if it’s the fibers in it that are the PTFE particles? When we spray this stuff it gets into the air and we breathe it. it should be sold with a filtering mask! We have no way of knowing how this hair treatment stuff is formulated and where it is in the delivery system.
HSN take note: This is a health issue that does not deserve snarky flip remarks.

hsn use to tell us about the danger of ptefe and ptof. when tod English was on HSN with he’s green pan, HSN had a chart that was about the chemicals in his cookware was ptefe which is dangerous to pet birds if you have pet birds the fumes they set off can kill your pet birds. hsn hasn’t talked about that even with Curtis stone cookware since then.

FLOMO I totally understand your aggravation/frustration. I just posted a review for an item on q, that probly’ wont be shown. lol.
Ignore nasty remarks from other shoppers. Obviously they have their own issues!! -
It would be nice to have it clarified though because it claims to be clean beauty. I use Tweakd and I do like the products, but part of the reason I purchase it is because it is a clean beauty product.
-
So if you don’t want to purchase or use the products, there’s not an issue. Also, HSN will always take the item back for exchange or refund in the prescribed period of time. I have purchased Tweak’d products and really enjoy them, though I admit I haven’t used the balm. I can’t imagine Denis is outright ‘lying’ as I’m sure the legal department already checked it out. One more thing: If there’s ever a correction or clarification that needs to be made on a product, HSN has always sent a letter that explains it.
-
Ok. Then don’t buy it. Problem solved.
-
your snardy post is erelivent to the one who posted this health concern. if you don’t understand the language meaning of her post then you shouldn’t post to respond. ptefe is a chemical that’s in Teflon cookware which is very dangerous to pet birds. it gives off fumes in the air and it’s a health concern. hsn use to talk about it . they use to make us aware if we had pet birds not to use Teflon with ptefe in our cookware.
