
Autoship Errors Continue on Sale Prices that Revert to Full Pricing
I buy a lot of products on Autoship. I am SO tired……of calling & asking for a Supervisor to correct the pricing errors. I order beauty items at one price, see it at this price under Autoship during processing, then it converts back to original full price BEFORE item ships. I have literally called FIVE times to correct products & spent time a lot of time on the phone correcting this pricing with the Supervisor one item at a time. Over the weekend, I had more than 4 items corrected, one was corrected wrongly so I just deleted it.
Yesterday Perlier offered 3 beauty products I have used for years on autoship, I ordered them. Today when I checked autoship, items have reverted back to original high price. The process for correcting this needs to be streamlined, Live Chat cannot help u!!
Please where is the quality assurance issues for these items pricing????

Report to BBB.
Even going that route, it took multiple complaints, but copy/paste the text from the product page where it says autoship will lock in your price and eventually they should honor it.
Also report bait-and-switch to FTC and your state attorney’s office.
I honestly think it is an unfortunate error, but the government has no tolerance for advertising one price on TV and surprise pricing on subsequent subscription shipments. Intent is irrelevant. The fact that they are doubling down when we report it is unconscionable.I never have this problem with QVC, so I hope the error is fixed when they close HSN’s campus.

I placed my first, and only, auto ship order in October 2024 for Nassif Detox Pads to be delivered every 120 days (4 months). I received my initial shipment in October as expected. Next shipment should have been in Feb of 2025, but when it never came I checked the schedule right away and the shipment date had now been changed to 6/29/25. I just checked again today, and it has now been changed again until 8/7/25. In the meantime I had placed a new one time order at a higher price in March to hold me over – I received this order so I know they did not run out of the product. I have yet to benefit from auto ship. My first 120 day AS is now scheduled to be almost a year out from my original order. I will keep checking the status, but am dis-illusioned with the AS and will never purchase anything again this way.

It seems things have definitely changed with AS. Prices get switched, sizes change, or products are unavailable & you’re stuck waiting for a product they ran a huge sale on & ran out of even though you have that item on AS so “you never run out.”
I have recently cancelled 2 AS orders & will be cancelling more. Why do prices change on some vendors & not others? They give you different answers each time you call. I loved when one supervisor said it was a “try me” price. At no time on the show was that ever said. They tell you to put it on AS & lock your price in & so you never run out. Neither of those statements appear to be true anymore. I know prices are usually locked in for a year, but not any more…more like one time.

I hate to say it, but it is continuing to happen, especially with Perlier. I am beginning to see it as a bait & switch. I had a supervisor make a correction last month, but the price was still not correct & then when I checked today, the price was no longer for the triple size Perlier Black Rice Eye Serum, but the regular size. I notice they have big sales on these items & then sell out & then all these price changes happen on AS & then the bait & switch to a smaller size.
And today, I called on an item from SKINN that jumped over $20. The girl said she would talk to the supervisor. She came back & told me the AS was a try me price & then it went up. I said at no time was that ever stated as a try me price. If so, why bother with AS at a higher price? If price goes up, I wouldn’t do AS, I’d just wait for another sale…or not because at this point, I’m very disgusted with all of this nonsense. As jimadams said, report it to the BBB. He did. I will also contact the AG regarding these false advertising practices.
As much as I like Perlier, I am noticing things I just don’t like about these sale tactics. Running sales on the products they previously ran on AS & then running out of the product so it’s not available for AS is unacceptable.
I just don’t see things getting any better. This is new to me & has NEVER happened in all of the years I have been with HSN. I am not liking this pattern.

I recommend filing a complaint with BBB. I haven’t heard back from mine, but it looks like they usually reply within a week based on posted past complaints.
It’s a shame they cannot correct through normal channels.
As you said, this is clear “bait and switch.” Inent does not matter. And it being systematic is problematic to say the least.I felt awful when I hear they were closing St Pete campus, but phone support has always been awful for me, so there is a silver lining. The online reps are really kind, but their hands are tied.

I just called on another price jump on an autoship order. The first item I called about was the Perlier Triple Size Black Rice eye serum which I got for like $36.58 in Nov. When I checked on my autoship last month, It was like $94. I called & asked to speak to a supervisor. I of course didn’t get to speak to one, but the girl I talked to did & she changed the price for the next autoship to $39.99 which wasn’t the correct price either. I’m cancelling of course.
Today I called about the Skinn Essentials 2 pack face wash which I bought in Nov. on autoship for $29.99. It is now $42 + tax which comes out to $45 & some change. I cancelled that order as well. When the girl checked as to the price change, she said the supervisor told her the original price was a “try me out” price & now we pay the higher price. I told her at no time on any of these shows do they say it’s a try me out price. No, they say lock it in for a year. Otherwise, why bother with autoship & just wait for another sale, or not.
That is deception at its finest. This is becoming more common with HSN for certain products like Perlier & Skinn. And in between the great AS prices we think we are locking in, they have sales & run out of the product & then you are stuck waiting for an AS delay due to online sales & the product being sold out. So, I am sure that also has to do with their sneaky price increases & then they hope you don’t notice, & are stuck with a product because returning the item & paying for shipping is ridiculous.
I am going to check with the attorney general as to such shady practices & never even though to call BBB, but not a bad idea either.
I’ve been with HSN a long time. I’ve never seen anything like this before. It’s like a bait & switch with the prices & sizes. The Perlier eye serum they adjusted the price on was for the smaller size. It did not say triple size on my AS. They just switched that behind the scenes. I have my original order from Nov. & the price I paid & how Skip raved to get that triple size at that locked in price. Lies…all lies. And I noticed that on the Royal Jelly, another product I have used for a long time, they call it super-size. It’s not. The bottle is the same size it’s always been now at a higher price.
I guess with the tariffs in place, we can expect much more of this deceptive bait & switch without any notice, & all you can hope for is to catch the order before it ships. I have many items I will be removing from AS. Also, on some items where there isn’t a pic, they always say image coming soon. It never does!!
I’m pretty much done with HSN at this point.

HSN will honor it however u have to call & ask for a Supervisor, they will adjust the item(s). I have done this 5 times already, now I have to do it AGAIN after talking with someone on June 8th for 8 minutes, getting disconnected, then calling right back & spending 22 minutes talking with a supervisor. My total time on Saturday June 8th to get several items corrected was 30 minutes!

I never had this happen until yesterday when I ordered Perlier’s Youth Creator on auto ship. I checked it after and the next shipments are showing up as $260!! Will cancel after receiving the first shipment but this is very strange and will be quite a shock for those who don’t check and receive a second shipment at this unreal price. Hope HSN gets this one fixed.

The same just happened to me …. so frustrating! I am being told that the item says price is good on “first shipment only.” Well it does not!!!
