Amy's language
I had on HSN and was not watching the Beekman boys with Amy Morrison hosting very closely, when Amy used the name of Jesus as an expletive. I right away perked up in disbelief. I used the rewind button on the remote to make sure I heard right and sure enough, plain as day she used His name..not Gee or golly.. but Jesus. I don’t watch shows where there is swearing and I never expected to hear it on HSN.. I won’t be watching Amy anymore and I hope HSN reprimands her for this.

Wow, chill out. That’s hardly “swearing” by any rational being’s standards. She does not need to reprimanded for something the majority of people say on a regular basis.
Maybe focus on getting mad about real world issues and let go of things that don’t matter.
-
It is insulting to those who Love JESUS…and certainly does not belong on a Home Shopping Network.
-
SydneyMom…I totally agree with you!
-
-
I didn’t hear it because I wasn’t watching as I don’t support Beekman. However, I agree with you. It always bothers me when people use the Lord’s name in vain, it’s worse than any cuss word in my opinion. As for the other reviewer, this is an open forum and she has the right to post what she wants with her opinion and without condemnation.
-
Why don’t you support Brent and Josh? Goat milk is a wonderful product. Just wondering.
-
Hello…I think many people do not support Beekman products nor purchase them because they do not agree with how they are produced. According to reliable sources, the baby goats are taken away from their mothers and “bottle served” to “free up” the mother’s milk to produce Beekman products. The mothers and babies cry for days; this seems so cruel!!!

I agree with Sydneymom, people need to chill out. There are certainly actual real issues facing us all that we should be concerned with. Simply saying ” Jesus” is not taking the Lords name in vain.
-
Umm , unless you are saying JESUS in a prayer…or teaching someone about. HIM…it IS taking HIS name in Vain.
-
Jesus
Let it go already ! -
rilygirl…You are wrong on so many levels.
-
That’s a ridiculous statement

I don’t think anyone is arguing that there are other issues more pressing i the world. That does not minimize the above viewers opinion on using God’s name in vain. In all honesty, I did not see the program as I do not buy Beekman products. I do support the above viewers’ right to express something that bothered her and has meaning in her life. As a paying customer, she has every right to do so.

I heard her say that too and it was unsettling to say the least. She should know better than to talk like that when she is on air. If the show hosts said everything over the air that they say on a regular basis in their private lives, watching HSN would be like listening to Satellite radio, anything goes & no words would be off limits. This is how it starts, a slip up here & there that certain people think is” no big deal” & before you know it the network goes downhill.
-
I think it was probably “Jeez”. She says it often, as well as “Gee whiz”.
-
I Agree

I believe the correct response is to pray for her. If she’s not Christian, then the scriptures don’t pertain to her. If she is Christian, then she probably regretted what she said and silently prayed a quick prayer. Always remember, we ALL sin every day, so we all say or do things we shouldn’t do. As for HSN and their hosts, we are all free to watch something else.
-
But it pertains to ALL who love JESUS. It is said in a too much cavalier manner these days.
-
I agree that Amy should not use the Lord’s name. It is disrespectful. If she used a term from another
religious persuasion, she would be reprimanded.
As a Christian it is offensive to hear Amy or any other host use the Lord’s name disrespectfully. -
I think Jesus – ‘out of love’ – would give Amy a pass.
-
I don’t think she should have said it because she was saying it in front of an audience. I also have watched a few of them making sure to mention how devoted they are to their religious leanings. Nope. I don’t need to know. It’s a turn off to some people. You shouldn’t put down Amy about her saying this and not the others just because of your personal views. Religion and politics should be left out.
-
Perfectly said! I’m so sick & tired of people pushing THEIR chosen religion publicly on the rest of us – whether it’s related to a shopping channel comment or a politician’s views! Separation of church and state – that’s how we do it in the USA!
