Beekman laundry demonstrations

While watching several of the laundry demos, I saw one when red cloths were put into a leading detergent and one in Beekman’s detergent.
both the detergents turned red as I was shocked to see.
later that evening I watched it again. the Beekman boys had definitely made it known that the red cloths were both brand new.
very strange that this time the cloth in their detergent, the water stayed white. REALLY!!!!
this tells me that the red cloth put into their detergent had to have been washed beforehand. This so FAKE.

I guess due to smaller staff a lot of these things aren’t being caught. I also saw the demo for the crosswave, could hardly believe my eyes as camera zoomed in & I could see water leaking out the back. Sure enough after reading reviews that was a complaint often repeated!!! Buyer beware!!!!

I saw the first demo where the water in both containers turned red – Beekman’s a little less but not much. Demos can be deceiving if the second showing was so different. I take all demos with several grains of salt. I’ve read several places that liquid detergents are better for HE washers so I’m sticking with my chemicals. I’ve found the following info on a number of websites:

Some powder brands, on the other hand, don’t dissolve as well in cold water settings, especially in high-efficiency washers. Since most of your clothes should be washed in cold water to prevent shrinkage and dyes from bleeding, this will quickly become a problem.

If the water temperature is under 68 degrees F (20 degrees C), you may find little clumps of leftover detergent on your clothes after a wash, requiring an extra spin cycle to remove them. This puts extra wear and tear on your washer and your clothes.

    The health of your machine
Powder can also leave chunks of undissolved detergent in your washing machine parts. As you can imagine, this can lead to malfunctions. It particularly affects the washer’s drainage system.

Over time, the clumps can build up, causing a blockage that looks a lot like hard water deposits. I had to call a repairman to fix my washer several times because it wouldn’t drain. The repairman finally clued me in on his last visit — my powdered detergent was doing the damage.
