TS HP – Computer Mavens, Your Opinions Please.

I’m thinking about buying the TS and would like to know from those “in the know” about computers, is this a good choice? I’ve never had a laptop and although 14″ seems small, the weight is light so that is good.

One of the criticisms in the reviews is that the blacklight keyboard is hard to see with the rose gold. Since I was looking at that color (rose gold) maybe I should select the gold if I buy this laptop. Another question I have is how much does it cost to buy WORD after the 1 year subscription expires?

I’d really appreciate your thoughts. Thank you in advance.

And to add to fbn135, Microsoft Office is about $75 each year. I truly hate paying for Office. I have Dell that I purchased from QVC and I hate when it’s time to renew. For this reason alone I’m considering switching over to Apple.

  There are alternatives to MS office. Google “best free office suite”. I’ve been using Open Office for over 10 years. It’s compatible with MS office and it’s free.

  Boodlemum: I recommend and use the free LibreOffice Suite which in my opinion is the best alternative to the MS Office Suite. Get it atLibreOffice Suite

  @boodiemum, thank you!!! Why didn’t I know about this???? I just checked it out and it’s pretty comprehensive. I definitely will be using once my current MS Office subscription is up.

I did a little research for you. It does not look good!! Here is the info on the processor which is the most important part of the laptop when it comes to performance.

Pentium Gold 5405U is a 64-bit dual-core low-end performance x86 mobile microprocessor introduced by Intel in early 2019. (2.30 GHz) It also only has 4 gigs of ram which is way to small.

What that means is it is one step above junk. Please do your self a favor and keep shopping. You can do a lot better.
