Joy Leaving Doesn’t Surprise Me — HSN is ‘Hard Sell’ Now Like QVC
I left QVC four years ago, and found great quality at HSN. But once I learned QVC bought HSN approximately two years ago, I could see demise of HSN.
If you compare websites, HSN is gradually becoming QVC. I always thought the “old” HSN did much better job with their descriptions, videos, etc.
Even in early morning hour the shows had good content. Now all these early a.m. shows are constant re-runs of the same products. It’s a shame.
Just this past weekend, they put two other chefs during Wolfgang Puck’s Holiday show and it put a strain between Wolfgang and show host.
Not smart HSN.

My experience has been just like yours and I agree completely with your assessment of the future of HSN. Even worse than the departure of Joy, who will always land on her feet, is Joan Boyce. As with Joy, she brought such creativity, enthusiasm and humor and heart to every presentation. What an inspiration she was in her last show, beautiful, giving and gracious as always. An enormous loss for HSN and its customers. But Joan too always lands on her feet and has always had a lot more in her life than HSN. This calls for a pilgrimage to the Hamptons.
Thank you for your commentary on the “turnover.” -
QVC does NOT OWN HSN ! Why do people keep posting that QVC owns HSN?
Just because people keep saying, posting , and believing this – will not make true!
QVC , Zulily and HSN are all owned by Qurate retail Group.
However folks if want to keep the story going that QVC owns HSN.It is rather comical

👍 You do not lie!

HSN purchased Mangono’s company many years ago. She was nothing more than a mouth piece and the most obnoxious person on any shopping channel…………………

You think Joy left? I think she was given the boot….
