Is Qurate becoming a monopoly?

I’m curious do you feel Qurate Retail Group is becoming a monopoly? It seems to me that HSN is being torn down to make no competition for QVC. Monopolizing yes? To those who have knowledge about these things: what do you think?

I took it more the other way – since HSN was not successful enough, they are making changes in hopes of improving sales. I don’t necessarily like all the changes, but understand.

I think they are trying. There are laws in regards to this…….. So we will see.

I was a buyer for 13 years in my previous life. The company I worked for tried to become a monopoly.

They bought one company, took the equipment and inventory, laid off all staff, and shut it down. It was a way of eliminating a strong competitor.

The next company they tried to buy was stopped by the government.

I think it is possible now that they are under one bank. From what I have read, HSN losses more money than QVC. I truly hope not. Am enjoying the 20% coupons from HSN. I haven’t shopped QVC this year.
