Lorena Garcia…Mini Multi Cooker – Inner Pot Coating Peeling Off In The Food

Lorena Bella Kitchen Collection…I have 3 of the Mini Multi Cookers with Steamers and I need to know…

1- Why is the Inner Pots’ white coating peeling off in the food after less than 6 months of use? The pots are used only to cook rice. I got these things new in the boxes but, have only started to use them for a short time following all of the use and maintenance instructions.
2- Is this coating poisoning the food?
3- How do I get the inner pots replaced? The outer pots work and looks like new.

    Can anyone tell me what makes the measuring cup that comes with the mini cooker unique. I have lost mine and my recently deceased wife is the only on who had seen it.

    The same thing happened to the pot in the mini rice cooker but it wasn’t until recently and I’ve owned it for about five years and use it at least several times/week. I think what caused the white coating to begin peeling off in mine was recently using a stainless steel utensil when I dipped out the food toward the bottom. I have a larger rice cooker by another company that has a stainless steel or aluminum cooking pot and their directions specify to only use the plastic rice spatula that comes with the cooker or wooden utensils.

    Once I noticed a small piece of coating had come off in this cooker, regardless of not using the stainless steel utensil the coating continued to flake off. It”s seen its day so I’m throwing it away rather than having the white coating in my food.

    Is there ANY way to order a replacement “inner pot” ours is doing the same, altho the rest of the unit is terrific.
