Fashion Catastrope
Is it just me or are a lot of HSN’s fashions out of date and too expensive? I see a lot of things my Mother used to wear but very little I would wear at 76 even if it was given to me. My grandkids like that I am not an old fashion Nana and I don’t intend to start being that now. A little bit of style keeps you feeling younger. Prices keep shooting up while everything is cropped, pants, tops and sleeves. I can’t even afford QVC anymore. Additionally, the quality is not always present. So, if you wonder why this 30 plus year customer is not exercising her buying power here very much these days, now you know. Money is tight. No one can afford to waste it. There are, to be fair and honest, fashion exceptions here and there. I just wish someone would listen to the customers and give us more of what we want and less of what we do not care to buy. Maybe then sales would go up instead of down.

It certainly does not help that the array of fashions offered are borderline ugly.
The special today (by not-a-fashion-designer-nor-known-for-her-good-taste…. Quite the opposite in fact) Vivica Fox is an insult.
The prints, the fit, the fabric, the price is all atrocious. If you want to look 40lbs fatter – buy this repulsive garment.
Where did the beautiful fashions go???

I purchase some items but not 1/2 as much as I purchase online direct from a designer or a department store, I know what I am getting and it is quality, petite sizing with an exceptional fit at a very good price everything HSN is lacking. Quality, Great materials, All-inclusive sizing petite, average & tall with great pricing with a perfect fit.

I agree. The styles now, are not to my taste.
The designers are concentrating on ‘something different’ rather than a style that would look good on anyone, and they end up looking ridiculous!
Would like to see more refined, tasteful styles. Simple is better than over the top with rhinestones everywhere!
More breathable fabrics instead of poly and even nylon!! I was shocked to see a dress done in nylon and spandex! What? You may as well cover yourself with cellophane!!
How about elbow sleeves instead of short and capped sleeves for older women.
It’s sad when you get a coupon and you can’t see anything you’d like to buy.-
I agree Alexandria. Although I admit to like some glitz, I don’t want it to be carried away. Simple is better. It allows the wearer to add their own personal touches. Poly is awful and I don’t wear anything see through. I got into dresses when Iman was doing them and loved them. Now I cannot find anything I would wear. At my age, three quarter or long sleeves are a must as I bruise easily but don’t want that to show obviously. The old designers had class and quiet panache. I don’t know what a lot of the new ones are thinking.

Sadly I must agree on pricing. I get better deals at outlets or discount retailers. I also miss some of the old designers. My HSN and QVC purchases are more limited now. Still like to watch though.
