Jay King Mines FAKE
Does anyone have an opinion on Jay King Jewelry and the way in which it is advertized and promoted on tv. He exaggerates all the time by stating a particular piece is a one of a kind, rare stones, stories about how he got the particular stones to make the piece, whether or not the stones are color enhanced or natural. I do not trust him anymore and I was wondering how others feel. Some of the hosts that support his exaggeration have turned me off too. Can’t trust them. I have returned many of the pieces that I purchased becasue when I got them home, realized what was said on TV was inaccurate.

I find him credible and he seems like a kind, honest person. I hope I am right because I bought 3 pieces from him yesterday. I have other jewelry from him and have been happy with it but I am no expert in gem quality. Sometimes the magnets he uses are not strong enough and there are imperfections in his gems but if they were perfect then you know they were treated or fake. I find Connie Craigs jewelry too ” perfect” and she also doesnt use real silver so I don’t buy from her. Rarities too I have had the gold coating turn black. Her jewelry is pretty and I getsucked in to buying it and then regret it.

The comment that Jay looks aged and frail, I thought was quite rude. Yes, he lost weight but that is a good thing, and men don’t get all of the plastic surgery that women do. I’m sure he could look 25 years younger if he went under the knife on a regular basis like Dimitri does. I like him and I think he looks fine. People in this society are not allowed to age without being scrutinized!

I like Jay and always watch when he is on, but I don’t buy much from his line anymore. His jewelry on clearance/sale used to be great but now the prices are too high and there never seems to be anything that great to buy. The website will indicate that an item is available but if you try to order one you are told it is on waitlist. After trying to order several items with no luck I just give up and don’t order anything.

I would suggest in addition to what is said on air, that you look at the detailed information on line to confirm specifics. A pearl can natural (in origin or color), cultured (in origin), color enhanced (dyed, plated, finished) or combination of all or none. I really like Jay King and think he is a very nice man. He has been selling stone jewelry for a very long time.

The Weekly Deal Drop black South Sea earrings are color-enhanced. Buyer beware. The description says the pearl pendant is natural.
I don’t understand why Jay can’t call them Tahitian pearls. Seems fishy. The French Polynesia government has strict legislation and quality control over their pearls, so maybe Jay’s pearls didn’t earn the title of Tahitian?Jay has been selling inferior gems for years and years. At least now treatments are disclosed.

So sad to hear this, but I have a soft spot in my heart for Jay King! All my purchases have been satisfactory and beautiful. He looks so aged and frail and even sad sometimes. I will always support him . Please people be kind!

I have also notice how thin, frail, and even how sad Jay’s eyes look. He is quieter and I notice some of the hosts talk over him. I wish him the best. I have not bought any of his jewelry because I don’t wear jewelry nor do I like heavy pieces around my neck. I used to enjoy watching his shows and learning from him.

Judara1, You are most welcome. I am sorry you are disillusioned but think of the money you will save :). If you see something you really like and aren’t sure about it maybe buy it in the multi pay options so that way if you return it, then you only are into it the return shipment fees and the one payment that would get refunded. Most of my jewelry buying is behind me but I picked up a JK Earring and pendant last year that I love.

TACI LOL, I will save money!

judara1, I enjoy watching his shows. His pieces are unique and I don’t see much in the stores that look like it, unless maybe I am in AZ, but it still has its own look to me. In any case, buyer beware and it is the nature of sales people to embellish quite a bit.

TACI thanks for your reply. I enjoy the stories as well but as a purchaser, I now understand not to believe the stories especially when he is stating that something is a one of a kind, never get back, opportunity to purchase. Then, you learn, it was not as he stated and the rarity of the piece is simply zero, the stones are enhanced and filled with flaws which he clearly states opposites.
The colors are off and not as stated. So I guess I will listen for the enterainment but will refrain from purchase for most of his items. It becomes overpriced as it is costum jewelry quality!
