Best Sweatshirts for Women | Warm, Soft & Perfect for Winter
I researched the best sweatshirts for women because winter is around the corner and I want something warm, soft, and comfortable enough for daily wear. Over the past few days, I went through a bunch of reviews on sites like Wirecutter, Consumer Reports, and Popular Mechanics, and these two sweatshirts are appearing on top everywhere:
Trendy Queen Womens Oversized Hoodies

EFAN Womens Hoodies

I am torn between the two because each has great reviews, but I am unsure which one truly delivers on warmth, comfort, and durability. I want a sweatshirt that keeps me cozy on cold nights, feels soft for everyday wear, and can withstand frequent washing. If anyone has experience with these or knows a better option for winter, your advice would be really helpful.Thank you!

Anything cheap and made in China out of polyester is usually a fail in my experience. The fabric pills and looks bad quickly.
I personally wear the fleece quarter zip women’s wear from Lands End. They put them on sail. I love them and wear a thick cotton shirt underneath or a “base layer” from Lands End underneath. Depending on how cold.
I don’t wear this outside but my “Comfy” brand warm throw is the warmest thing I have for watching TV or reading a book.

I would love nothing better than a nice long sweatshirt robe. I had one and left it North thinking Florida never gets cold. These are so soft and they do zip up the front and come in many colors. I like the ones without the hoodie. Orvis comes to mind and so does LL Bean. Oh well.

Warm & Cozy 2-pack Oversized Sherpa HoodieI might have been tempted by the black but it’s already sold out. Whatever happened to Waitlist, anyway?

I will only buy sweatshirts if they zip up. Then you have better temperature control. With a pull over, you would have to pull either an arm out, or both arms. Or take the sweatshirt off completely. With zipper front, you can unzip, pull 1 arm out (have used that sleeve as a scarf). I have been known to turn the zip jacket backwards to keep front warm, while my back isn’t sweaty. J use my $10 ( no longer 2¢ due to inflation) 😂😂

LL Bean, Eddie Bauer, Pendleton … any of the cold weather companies probably have warm sweatshirts.
Another idea is to buy some thin, soft t-shirts to wear under the sweat shirt. -
I have in the past, purchased two different colors of this one (EFAN, I believe) and the fabric feel and sizing was so different between the two colors. One was soft, one felt like it had a coating on it. So much crazy lint in the dryer! I’ve pretty much given up on Amazon from China clothing, too many quality and size variations. If you’re going to spend $25-$50 for a warm sweatshirt, I would suggest Land’s End. Helpful American Midwest customer service, garment measurement and size chart accuracy, quality fabrics that wash up well. Just a thought….

I also suggest Lands’ End. I have the zip-front style with the hood. I have worn mine for over 10 years. They are well made and wash well. The fabric content is 80/20 cotton/polyester, so they are more substantial than the 50/50 blend.
