Sadly HSN Moving to PA
I just heard today that Quarte Retail Group, owner of both HSN & QVC, is moving HSN out of St. Pete Florida AFTER 47 YEARS!!! Outrageous! HSN owns their own building in Florida.
QVC does not! QVC is much younger than HSN. I think QVC should have to move to HSN’s Headquarters in St. Petersburg. It’s only fair because HSN is older & own their building. I watch both of them & have for decades. Like them both. I just feel it’s wrong to make HSN move.

I’ve always noticed in business if a company buys out another company usually they get rid of most of the new company employees. I’ was wondering if that would happen with this merger and sure enough.
-
Even though they’re moving, I hope the service and quality of HSN ilwill still be there. I like them better than QVC.

HSN and QVC are simply both brands owned by the same company. The age of those networks has no bearing on smart business decisions. Would you be happier if they simply ended HSN altogether (as they surely considered)?

Agree with this also even though it’s a shame…. would be a much bigger shame if they ended HSN period. So you make a good point!

ruined HSN — QVC is awful….. cant believe hosts will uproot their lives and sorry QVC hosts are not that good…as HSN … products are so much better and than the prices. Customer service is awesome .. i stopped with QVC only a few auto deliveries I have left

Yeah the QVC campus is massive apparently and they said they have state of the art technology there that HSN can benefit from?? It is a big shame that the area is losing HSN! So many workers that depend on it being there…. will definitely leave a hole in the area.

The QVC studio park is huge, like, the size of 15 football fields or something. They have facilities they aren’t using. It makes sense to consolidate production. People keep mentioning hurricanes, but hurricanes aren’t new and I don’t think that’s the reason.

Jeannemi, I agree. However, after living full time in Florida due to husband’s health situation, I also agree with Quarte Retail. Insurance costs in Florida are getting higher. Many companies have moved leaving only a small handful, thus the reason for the higher costs. For many, the only company left for homeowners is Citizens. With Hurricane season beginning June 1st, Florida can get hit on both sides. That includes the Atlantic Ocean on the East coast and the Gulf Coast on the West. Two years in a row we were hit with back to back storms. This past year was horrid. Milton came not only with strong winds but tornadoes as well. We had no rain where we live. However, every home on my street sustained major damage. We learned a few day days later that we were hit by a tornado. HSN temporarily did their broadcast from QVC. Their campus sustained major damage, thus the possible reason for the move. Every year these storms become more powerful. Roofs and rebuilds become more costly. Many residents have left Florida for a better future. I hope to do the same.
