Flexpay denied order canceled and my money was still taken out
I am so upset. Things are tight this year but I wanted to get something nice for my daughter so I wanted to purchase her the PS5 and HSN seemed like a great choice because they gave me the opportunity to break the payments down. I submitted the order then they told me my flexpay was denied/ canceled my order and still took my money out my account. Now it’s only 10 days from Christmas and I need that money back now to be able to shop somewhere else. I am very upset and disappointed and I don’t know how I will be buying her anything now. This has really messed up my Christmas and I will never shop at HSN again. I will also tell everyone I know about this horrible experience.

We’re really sorry for the frustration some of you are experiencing with refunds on cancelled orders, especially during the holiday season. We know how important it is to see those funds released quickly.
To clarify how this works: when an order is placed, your bank temporarily sets aside the funds. If the order is cancelled, HSN immediately sends a reverse authorization to your financial institution. That means we’ve already notified them to release the hold — and since cancelled orders never ship, HSN never receives the money.
From that point forward, the timing is entirely up to your bank or card issuer. Most release holds within 3–7 business days, but holiday processing can slow things down a bit. Some banks may direct you back to us, but once we’ve sent the reversal (which we do right away), it’s completely in their hands.
We truly apologize for the inconvenience, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding. If you have questions we can help with, we’re here for you!

I too am waiting on my funds to be credited back to my bank account Since 12/17 TEN DAYS AGO. My pending transaction says to contact YOU! This is absolutely ridiculous! It’s christmas time! To take someone’s money and cancel order IMMEDIATELY after payment is the craziest thing i’ve heard! Why even take it? If the card is something you don’t except then how do you still take my money!!? $179 is a lot to loose at christmas time and not have back STILL!!! I need my money asap!! If y’all release it then please do so ASAP!!! THIS IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY TO DO THINGS TO PEOPLE LIKE THIS!!
STOP TAKING MONEY IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO EXCEPT THE ORDER BECAUSE OF CARD CHOOSE!!! -
Just happened to me. Placed an order last night on flex pay, took the money and order was submitted successfully. This morning I get an email from HSN saying my card was declined, they took the money successfully and said it was my bank……

We are so sorry that your order was cancelled and that you did not receive an immediate refund. The funds will be released by your financial institution within the next 3 – 7 business days. Feel free to reach out to your bank to inquire about the duration of held funds. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you.

Just like everybody else in this thread I too am waiting on my funds to be credited back to my bank account. My bank says it is you then you tell me it is my bank. With this many people having issues I am sure it is you. I need my money. This should have been communicated before you took those funds or I would have never even tried and believe me will never try again. This company for being around so long has seriously put people in awful spots. tomorrow will be 7 days and the first time I called she said 2 days. NOW TRIPLE the waiting time.

I am truly sorry for your first experience with us here at HSN, @leeann5298.
When an order is first submitted, the cost of the order (or the first FlexPay installment) is immediately set aside from the balance of your card by your card holder for the pending purchase. Once the order has been canceled, we immediately notify your financial institution. However, the reserved funds are typically released by your card holder within 3 – 7 Business days.
I would like to clarify that no money has been sent to us for this order. Money is only sent to us once an order ships out. It is your bank holding the funds at this time. I recommend reaching out to your card issuer to see how long they will hold the funds.
