shipping charges on all returns now plus

Hi there @jadiva, @donahda, @jude645, and @rbloved. This change did take place a couple of years ago. I know we did our best to get that message out to everyone.

For clarity, exchanges are free, and if you wish to exchange but the item you need is not available, we waive the return fee since your intent was to exchange. EZ Return label fees are $7.95 for 5 pounds and under, and for packages over 5 pounds, it’s $9.95.

If you put more than one order in a return box, please make sure you identify each item (by order #) being returned, even if it’s written on a piece of paper and placed in the box. Please also keep that information for your own records – along with the tracking number – in case you ever need to call in regarding those returns.

I always urge customers to reach out to us to initiate an exchange. Returns take some time to reach us, and more popular items may be out of stock by the time the return is received. If you contact HSN, we can get that replacement item shipped out and on its way while you get the original order packed up and shipped back to us.

They always have kept the original shipping and return shipping is per item, not box weight, unless you have an even exchange. Return shipping on clothes is about $6.95 an item. This is nothing new. It’s the price you pay ordering from HSN.

I figured out just to try a pair of jeans on that I paid $11.95 just to try a piece of clothing on. I couldn’t exchange it because they didn’t have a size that fit me. I used the garment chart. It was not correct! I’m buying my tall clothing at JC Penney’s now. I’ve had great luck with their St. John’s bay tall jeans. I love their tall T-shirts too!

I seem to recall receiving an e-mail letter with the subject line something like “An Important Message from the HSN President/CEO”. It was quite a while ago.

I am sorry you are out $50. I order much less since this change took effect, and I try to wait for free shipping days. I also return multiple items in one box, because the maximum return shipping charge is $10, regardless of the weight of the box.
