Curtis Stone oil sprayer; cannot attach the small tube

I was excited to get my Curtis stone oil sprayer however, when I got it the small sprayer tube needs to be attached for the spray to work. Neither end would attach to the main piece. Is there a picture or explanation how to attach that?
I’ve tried to and it just doesn’t attach.
I’m referring to about 2 inches long.I want the spray. Can someone help me?
