Live Pure LP550THP air purifier
I purchased a Live Pure LP550THP air purifier from HSN on 1/13/23. It worked as advertised until one night in Aug 2024.
At approx 5am my smoke alarms went off. Since this appliance was the only thing running in our house and there was a haze in the house, logic would dictate that this was the source of the problem. Our smoke alarms have never gone off before this.
I returned the item to Live Pure and they inspected the item. They said there was no problem and returned it to me. But not finding a problem does not mean that one doesn’t exist. Would HSN and/or Live Pure be willing to accept, in writing, full responsibility for any incident involving this item?
We have not used it since and have not had the smoke alarms go off. How could you sleep with an air purifier running that had set off your smoke alarms in the middle of the night? The return is still in the box it came in.
HSN offered a “store credit” initially but that offer was rescinded the next day. That would have been a simple and acceptable solution….shop HSN and find a suitable replacement.
The only replacement offered by Live Pure was the same model refurbished and that was not acceptable given our experience with that model.
I now own a $200+ paperweight. Thank you HSN and Live Pure!!!!
Obviously, Live Pure and HSN prioritize their sales over the potential well being of their customers.
