Kirsten & having a will
she & alberti selling estate planning. Kirsten said she just had her first colonoscopy (thanks for sharing….lol) anyway she said they ask you if you have a will every time you go in for a procedure
@ 73 have had a tremendous number of procedures & never has anyone in any Dr office or hospital asked if I had a will.
How about all of you??

I just had surgery in July. They did ask on the check-in forms if I had a will, living will, advanced directive.

I am a cancer survivor who has had many surgeries in the past and many colonoscopies though out my life and they have never asked if I had a will. They let u know that u have to have a ride to & from the procedure, and they may ask if you have someone who is responsible for you if you need a care giver which I definitely do not.
She must have made the will part up or you miss understood. -
I’ve been asked whether I have an Advance Directive. The medical profession doesn’t care or need to know if you have a Last Will and Testament.

63 y/o colon cancer survivor since 2008, 16 years. I have been told to have the procedure now every 3 – 5 years but I go faithfully every two years; better safe than sorry. The last three of the 10 that I have had I did without anesthesia. There were no side effects and no pain and I was able to drive myself home afterwards and resume daily activities. Could be an option for those that are worried about the anesthesia. #11 coming up in November! Yayyy, me :-). And, no one has ever asked me if I have a will/living will.

You had a colonoscopy without anesthetics? The reason I ask is that my doctor suggested that I have it done. I had a stroke, and I have been told that it would be dangerous to be put under. I would think it would be horribly painful.

They will say anything to sell, sell! And, I will say they do ask them questions. Ever time I took my mom in her 80’s they did ask.I’m going for one next month, myself younger than my mom,pls don’t ask I’m not ready for that yet! Even though I probably should be!

I am going for a colonoscopy next week. if they ask if I have a will I am leaving. LOL. They do ask if you have a living will for a do not resuscitate request for your spouse or family members for some procedures.

JaDiva I like your sense of humor! Interestingly I must go for colonoscopy as well-soon as I can find a driver. guess I just felt she was using scare tactics – said will -not living will. Probably irked moreso because I think she is arrogant, talks about giving health consultations-not realizing the workout attire she lives in is highly toxic. Also mentioned a car accident stating she wasnt hurt because she was driving an expensive car.
