Valerie forgot she was working

I watched a lot of the G by Giuliana presentations yesterday. Valerie was shopping throughout the two hours. I don’t think it was a sales ploy. She was possessed with buying the merchandise. There were times where she left Giuliana to be the host and vendor. Really unprofessional and frankly obnoxious. I can’t imagine this is what her supervisors or Giuliana want.

By the way, is G leaving HSN? Less shows and alot of clearance. I love her things..

I really can’t watch her either. HSN really should tell them about no shopping on air. I know if I was working my supervisor would not like it at all and I would be spoken to.

  Valerie is a perky host and some like her. She doesnt bother me. Some talk to fast. Debbie D gets on my nerves.. so does Helen at times. Ive seen both of them shop on air. Supposedly they are not supposed to get their stuff until everyone else gets theirs but sometimes I wonder I have a lot of orders that get canceled.. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. T is America. Maybe go on her FB and tell her your concerns. 🙂

I saw this presentation as well. I feel that Valerie Supp has gotten very full of herself, in an unprofessional way, I feel that whoever their supervisors are, they are not doing a good job in maintaining professionalism in some of their hosts.

i absolutely agree with you, fellow HSN ladies.
This host has become unbearable for me to watch with her annoying “IT GIRL” teenahe behavior.
Who on earth is providing the proper performance reviews, retraining and (if necessary) reprimands for these “attention greedy” hosts such as this one?
HSN is missing out on potential sales from loyal customers if they keep these unprofessional, obnoxious people on board without improvement.
And that’s why I enjoy and appreciate the GOOD and pleasant hosts even more … such as Callie Northhagen, Debbie D, Tamara Hooks, Adam. I hope they will stay for a long time 🙂

I too noticed this and thought it’s yet another reason I record some fashion shows. I can forward quickly through the hosts I dislike as well as the so-called size medium models. It’s easier to view the shows that way. I don’t get frustrated and I can still enjoy the content overall.

If I remember correctly, hosts were not supposed to purchase items while presenting. If they wanted an item, they could either wait until their segment was over or to buy prior to their show. I surmise Valerie was afraid of a sell out in her size and thus ran off stage. However, that could have been taken care of with either the people in the control room or a family member watching. I agree that it is poor judgment to leave the vendor alone while taking care of whatever. The host should be on set at all times.

I did not see this presentation, but I have noticed a change in Valerie as well. I use to love watching her because she came across genuine. I noticed a change in her since she returned last summer from a trip abroad. I turn her off when I see her now. What a shame.
