DG2 Virtual Stretch Sizing!!!
I am so tired of paying for postage and/or return postage on fashion when the manufacturer keeps changing the sizing guidelines without letting the customers know!!!!
The recent TSV DG2 jeans sizing is so totally off. I ordered size 12, just like my last purchase. These jeans fit, or would fit like hip huggers, if I could get the button and the button hole to meet. Maybe, if there was 4″ more of fabric!
My DG2 wardrobe goes from a 12 to a 16! I don’t care the the size label says…. don’t make the customer think they are smaller than they are. Make them uniformly. Call me a 12 or a 16 or a B or a chubbett…just make the jeans so I can order and not have to constantly return.
I look forward to hear from others who have received these jeans.

I usually don’t like to post because everyone has their own opinions. After reading these comments about DG2 sizing I am glad to know it is not just me who has been a long time customer of this brand and also have jeans in my closet from 12 to 16w. I always knew my size before and now it is a guessing game with multiple returns for sizing. Recently on one of the shows Sam said he has read the comments about sizing and he said nothing has changed at the sewing factories for how these are sewn. I don’t see how that can be, especially when you order more than one of the same style and they all fit different when tried on. Please remember why this brand was established. Yes, some of us are much older than others but the fit was always good before. If these comments are read by this brand I would like to comment or should I say make requests for two other suggestions. Please make more V neck tops and enough already with sequens on everything lately. Even the embroidery has sequens. I know it is popular now but not everyone wants it on most items shown lately.

Just received a new pair of DG’s and was happy I sized up to a 12 and the waist just fit after tugging an inch or so. Wearing them now and they’re sliding down and I can pull them on and off without unzipping. No way do I want to tug a waistband in 3 inches with a size 10 (which still sometimes slides down) so I’m at a loss for sizing. I love stretch but it just doesn’t seem to be working the way I wish it would! I have a larger waist and narrow hips with slender legs. Sure wish there was a fit for me. I love the jeans and keep trying.

If I stick to classic fit Im ok, try other fits like virtual, are not at waist and look small right out of the bag. I love DG2 and understand everyone return frustrations. I have returned many items as well.

DG2 jeans front and back rises are getting bigger and bigger. After a few hours of wear they get baggy in the rear. and saggy in the front. Also wish other retailers would list front and back rises. Just listing waist and hip sizes doesnt work for me.

DG2 and G by Guilianna jeans are all sized differently. When you go item fit measurements they are all different, even in jeans. Fabric and wash change a lot of the fit. Same jeans in 2 washes of same size fit differently. Exchange thru mail is a pain.

Regarding returns…. it always makes me crazy when I read complaints about return shipping cost. Yes you can return multiple items together. Just put all upc codes on the package for faster processing. BUT ALSO, you don’t have to use their return label!! You can do it on your own. Depending on weight, this is often cheaper. I get great rates on pirate ship.com

Sorry, Linny, but I had to laugh. My closet also contains 12 thru 16. Was purchasing dg since she began, and because of that can compare quality. I have some originals that are gorgeous-studs & stones set with grommets & not one has fallen off. Current ugh, always at bottom of washer as they are glued on. The black jeans never smelled of gasoline, sizes were consistent, along with length. Now, eee gads. I think part of the issue is there are so many different fabrics used making each “wear” differently. I would often order same jean, different colors and would try on one, then toss in laundry, only then to be stuck with one that didnt fit or was too short or long. Exasperating. She is no longer the jean queen in my book. I have found many different brands that fit better, so no more ordering and paying to return, as often size I need no longer available so cant exchange. . How I wish instead of hosts just standing there oohing and ahhing showing us what tops go with jeans, just get a tape measure & SHOW US the size and length. Occasionally a host will suggest order size up. I find it comical host asks models what size they wear? How on earth does that help us??? Havent purchased any in about a year as the cost to return and aggravation was too much @74. A little tip, tho, is that u can return more than one item in a package & save some shippping costs.

I am going to have to exchange yet another pair of DG2 by Diane Gilman Virtual Stretch Denim Skinny Jeans Item # 560-464. I purchased two pair in Indigo in a 18WT & one pair is 2″ larger in the waist. Baggy in the . I just did an exchange for a 16WT as I believe they will stretch out after wearing them all day. I kept the smaller 18T as I am having a knee replacement early next year. I’ll have a pair for my “fat” days. Same color, same size. I think this will be my last DG2 order for a while. It is frustrating. I have to have my husband that them to the PO. He’s sick of it!

Thank you for posting about the recent TS. I really wanted a pair, but I was not sure on the sizing. I have been waiting for a return. Now I’m going to take them out of my saved items. I have gained weight, so I purchased four pair of the skinny jeans & I love them. I wanted black but the black pair I received were so “sanded” that they looked like someone spilled bleach on them. I got a total refund. Earlier this year I purchased the straight leg utility jeans in chambray & Indigo. I do have to hem them as the inseam is longer than 32″. I am so happy my Mom taught me how to sew.

Just had to say I was wrong. The new DG2 pants I purchased get all droopy in the rear after an hour. I am stuck with at least 6 pair of jeans that will need to be altered. It takes me a long time to do it right. I’m not happy about it. I found jeans on line that are just as nice & other than needing to hem them they are perfect straight leg jeans. The legs are not as wide as DG2. I am very happy about that!

I AGREE!!!!! I will not buy anymore DG2 jeans………………………….unless I hear that the sizing is consistent…………..tired of high shipping (maybe $12. round trip for buy and then return)
SORRY, no DG2 should be sorry about their problem
upset customer
won’t buy again!! -
I agree about sizing. DG2 was my favorite, but I am done. It isn’t me – it is the jeans that are a constant guessing game.

I SO agree with you all! I’ve sworn off DG2 jeans all together, It’s $3.50 to ship to me and another $7.95 to ship them back when they don’t fit. The quality has some real issues too. The inside leg seam twists to the front when you walk, really strange. The rise is way too high, you can even tell on the models how the crotch hangs and they are pulled up way too high. Yep, not the same DG2 I’ve known and loved for so many years.

One of the reasons I will not buy VS. They run looser and tend to bag after some wear. Then they look sloppy. So should I order a size down? Nope, not playing that game no matter how much I like the design. I am surprised when they say VS is the most requested or best selling fabric.

My latest skinny jeans looked ok when I tried them on. Within an hour they were all stretched out & the waist was huge. One leg twists making them uncomfortable to wear. I have to keep pulling them up & adjusting the leg. I will never buy any DG2 again. I have to alter the hem on the straight leg jeans I purchased. They run very long. Not happy at all. In fact, I took them out of my closet for now. I found some jeans at JC Penny’s that are very nice. I’m so happy I tried them.

I am a regular size 12. I made a deal with myself, no matter how much I like any clothing (but especially jeans and pants) on HSN or QVC for that matter, I will NOT size up. Not gonna be a 14, 16, etc. Manufacturers like DG2 need to regulate their sizing. Until then, I will no longer buy their fashions. Like lots of you, I have had issues specifically with DG2 – have a bunch of her “old” jeans from a few years ago which fit fine in size 12, but had to return the new ones (even virtual stretch) in the same size . . . sometimes you can just tell when you pull them out of the package that they are too small. What a shame.

I seldom order any clothing items without size and fit for that specific item. The hsn generic size guide is useless
