Friday Night Trivia – May 5, 2023

It was tons of fun tonight. I didn’t realize how much I actually love playing Trivia and missed it. Take care. Stay safe. Remember to check the ingredients on all your prescription medication and the side effects that could occur. Most over the counter meds list these. I do not see why this cannot be done by your pharmacist. Based on this, may all your problems be little ones. Until next week have a great time, enjoy the weekend and may you have pleasant dreams. Goodnight.

I’m so glad you were able to join us. My prayers are with you and your hubby. I hope all is squared away, so your hubby gets the help he needs.
@oodiebom, please take care of yourself. When your husband is able to move home, you will need all your strength to help him. Blessings to you both!

Thank you Sanibel for your kind words and sentiment. From your keyboard to G-ds ears my hope and prayers are a ditto. I left the Rehab earlier than I anticipated because of the A/C being on too high. Even with a sweater I was shivering. It felt so good to be playing Trivia. I relaxed for the first time in weeks. One prescript sent hubby to bed. Too tired and too painful to eat. Not eating sent him to the hospital and learning he was anemic. It feels so good to be able to carry on a conversation and lately his short term memory is coming back and hopefully it will get better with time.

Hi everyone. I am back from visiting hubby who is now coming along nicely. He no longer sleeps all day and night. He seems to have more energy and now wants to return home. However, Sheba knows what happened this week. Very frustrating when office personnel forgets about paper work that needs to be signed prior to procedures requested by the physician. In this case, hubby was scheduled for surgery Wednesday. It was a 5 minute thing. I normally would be there, but this time decided to be at the Rehab center early to wait for hubby. As it turned out, they needed a signed authorization form. Hubby could have taken care of this, but, It was me they wanted. No one mentioned this prior to the date of surgery (no anesthesia is needed). So now I wait for another date and time. As of today there has been no messages to me or the Head Nurse at the Rehab Center.

I’m very happy your hubby is doing better. However, how very annoying that clerical support has been so lacking. Grrrrrr
-
Sanibel, what was more frustrating was trying to reach the Urology group. The Head Nurse tried for weeks. Only he was able to get was a ringing receiver. He then asked me to try. I, at first, T got the same thing. Then a week later there was an answering machine. I left a message. Again to no avail. Finally the Head Nurse happened to see the physician and mentioned what was happening. Within 24 hours we had an appointment. Seems their phones were out of order. They had no idea. Hmm…….not getting calls from their patients????? Doesn’t sound like an answer to me. They had to know. We’re not dummies.

Just rest and relax if you can. I know it’s groundhog day almost everyday.
You know how I feel about this and I am praying for you and your husband.
Something has got to give. ✨🌹

The problem is that this A ugthorization form has to be signed by a “power of attorney.” Unfortunately, just because I am his spouse, doesn’t hack it with the State of Florida. It is automatic in Ct.. Fortunately, hubby has regained some of his memory. This is thankfully due to the expertise of the Head Nurse. I had mentioned that hubby needed a complete knee replacement but the three times we had him at the hospital the day of surgery, he could not remember which knee or what day it was. Being at my wit’s end I started looking at the night prior and the day of. Inoticed that he took most of his pills prior to midnight and one just before leaving the house. During his last hospital stay the end of January I met with the pharmacist and I asked if the medication (one prescribed pill) would make a patient dopey and not remember where he was etc..It turned out that it could be. About a month or so ago, I posed the same question to the Head Nurse. I had thought it went in one ear and out the other. However, about three weeks ago he mentioned that he thought he found the culprit. Well, within a week hubby showed signs of improvement. Each day I am getting his personality back and we now laugh quite a bit. He is now in a wheelchair most of the day. He is eating better. I bring a care package daily for him and his roommate. He now watches the news on TV.
I am debating whether or not to bring his keyboard to the Rehab. He loves to play and I am sure he misses doing so. Amazing what one pill did to him. -
Holy Smokes! You really have to have your eyes on all things. Good job Oodie. 💕🌹

LOL.I am almost rolling on the Floor with your statement Sheba. Having your dad as a pharmacist, you remember certain things as they come into play. Dad always remarked that one needs to know what the ingredients are in prescriptions. Doctors just remember what the sales people tell them. Pharmacists need to have eyes behind their head as well as the ability to know the other meds a patient is taking. Sometimes these do not overlap the right way. Dad also took the time to type additional info concerning what may lead to a side effect. Anyway, what you didn’t know is that the physician at the Rehab saw that this one pill was no longer given. She immediately went to the head nurse and demanded he put my hubby back on that pill. He refused and explained why. The physician had no idea that this could have been one of the side effects. My poor husband has been in bed full time for many months. So good to see him smiling and becoming more confident. Love when things come together. It makes my day😀😀😀🌴🌴🌴🤣.🤣🤣

Hi Sanibel. Thanks again for getting Trivia started. Hope you are feeling the warmth of Spring.

I guess you looked at last week’s trivia when Oodiebom did check in late and talk about her husband.
-
Hi pbjelly. I am back and hubby has made a turn for the better. I just hope and pray he keeps it up.
-
Oodiebom, I’m so happy to hear he’s better. Hopefully. soon, he can get home.
-
I am sorry are you talking to me or someone else?
I talk to Oodiebom every single day. ✨
Oodie’s husband did not have the surgery Wednesday because of paper work
and Oodie was not told in time. Very frustrating for her. -
I’m sorry. I get confused who it is that talks to Oodiebom every day. I guess I was talking to Sanibel Sheller because she had asked about Oodiebom. I”m glad Oodiebom wrote and told us what is going on. It must be very frustrating for her and her husband. It sounds like he’s doing so much better, Maybe after the surgery, he can come home and give the two of them a rest – I hope so.
-
pbjelly. My exact sentiments. I spend the mornings doing laundry and trying to get the house in order. Some days I make progress and then WHAM, I need to take some time off. All week I was supposed to go to the Dollar and a quarter store, Lowes and our Farmer’s Market. I have yet to have the time to do these things. Guess tomorrow I will be up early and will give it a try again.

No Problem. 🌹
