Layoffs
I am also done with QVC and HSN they hire new young people but get rid of the ones with knowledge and the ones that have been there for years. It’s not cool I am cancelling all my auto ships and I’m done watching them and ordering from them

I always like Lesley, she was calmer and seemed honest. That hard sell is so obnoxious and when some of them get started on the hard sell, I just think the product must not be all that good. Well, change comes to everything and if we no longer like watching HSN, then there are a few other shopping channels. I watch another one occasionally and it is not hard sell. Another channel has occasional hard selling but it is not the you must get two or on easy pay its only $10. The hosts mislead people by only giving the easy pay price.

I’m also very disappointed to see long time host Shannon Smith leave, as she was such a familiar face when I turned on Hsn and also pleasant, professional and knowledgeable about the product she was presenting. I will also miss Lesley, I liked when she was hosting, as she was professional and listened to her guests without speaking over them. I understand the parent company is looking at their bottom line, but I think also listening to their customers is equally important. I don’t think laying off hese ladies was the answer.

I haven’t purchased anything from HSN in quite a while. Now, with the termination of some of their most professional and knowledgeable hosts, my HSN shopping days are over. I have been watching “Shop HQ” and I like most of their hosts and products. I just wonder if some of the former HSN hosts might soon be seen on that shopping network? Honestly, I hate to say this, but some of the “retained” hosts are so annoying! And who came up with the silly “Ty and Tina” fiasco? We customers don’t need “entertainment”…..just straight forward info on the items being shown. Now that I’ve given my personal opinion, I want to wish the former HSN hosts the best of luck going forward….will we see some of you on “Shop HQ”? …sure hope so!!!!

Totally agree, decisions made higher up are at times not in the best interest of the long time shoppers, the catchy things they are trying to do well as you said in so many words are annoying, they did a housecleaning years ago and it was strategic on their part i’m sure but they lost loyalty of a lot of viewers. My heart is sad to see Shannon Smith go and on QVC to see Carolyn and Dan go, these people are staples and loosing Shannon, well people will obviously still shop but their audience is “dedicated’ folks who hae shopped for years. Free returns, well you can change the color of what you order but chances are it will not be available – these are not pluses. I miss Shannon Smith already and Carolyn Gracie’s garden shows and her and the Denim Company guy, hate to see these folks let go. trying to be positive but well, just makes no sense.

Is Colleen Lopez still a show host?

Colleen is not a show host, but is on air with her own product lines and shows (Designer Gallery).

Why would you fire Shannon Smith and keep Suzanne Runyon? Good Grief!

I have cancelled all my advanced orders. That includes HSN QVC and ZULILY owned by the same company. It’s a real shame because I have ordered from QVC and HSN for many many years. I will get my products from other places. I WILL NOT support a company like this.
