Why do they say this?
I turn channels when they say, We are giving you. Excuse me?? I am paying for the product. You aren’t giving me anything.
What a ridiculous thing to say!

How about “This will be a sell out” when the item is still available 2 weeks later!!! I am not able to shop in the stores as I did before, so this is the best way for me to purchase items. I wonder if these sales tactics are taught by HSN? They are all so similar, or do the hosts do this on their own? Just wondering?

the powers that be tell the host.to push the presentation to get the sales. as the night goes on, no sales are being orderd is when they start pushing the items.

Sales tactic, makes the buyer want the product more because they think they are getting something for nothing. Selling is the host’s job. I will agree with you that much of the hard selling technique used in almost all presentations is annoying. They all use the same words to describe the product. Beautiful, amazing, many are buying two, and it won’t show lumps and bumps when the model is squeezed Into a size too small and you can see her lumps and bumping legs unfortunately. It is just sales talk. When I hear it, I use it to remind myself to slow down and use my logic and discernment about the product.
